since i begun to learn Parkour i was able to leave my depressions behind. I fell complete somehow. This feeling is something that i can not campaire with any other sports. Ryan? You become my idol! If i get only half so good like you i would be proud of me... For me its more than sports it is the greatest form of art!
Your probably not going to see this but i'll ask anyway, I'm trying to learn Parkour but i have no teacher, so i make up for it by watching Parkour video's over and over again to try and learn by sight. do you think i can succeed ?
@omrigurf That's actually how most people start and most sell-out "pros" like RedBull-Ryan here saw it somewhere and just started experimenting. Traceurs often train for years on their own because parkour is still not popular in many places.
Beginner's advice: The difficult part is to never overstep your boundaries, to never ignore pain. Always be sure you will make it or do something more basic and gain more strength and CONTROL that way. Start small and repeat to perfection.
Ahhhh...it works for you Ryan? I wish RedBull worked for me as well...Unfortunately, I have trouble sleeping which seriously affects my training. Learning a new trick is increibly hard when your body is always heavy and you're not fully alert.
@DragonWarrior7771 Ryan works for RedBull, not the other way around. And you should work on those sleeping problems before doing any more tricks. Without proper sleep your body can't recover from even the smallest injuries and you will wear it down over time. This is not to be shrugged off as you won't be ABLE to ignore it for long.
@SuckItLily Yeah I know But I meant that the drink actually does something to you. Well..thanks. I'll try my best with this sleeping problem cus its seriously ticking me off. I seriously want my running gainer off a ledge but requires LOADS of confidence. Thanks for the tip ^_^
l used to do gym and l can do all sorts of tricks on the trampoline and ground (lm 11) and l want to free run but l dont know if l should because lm only 11
but now l am trying and realised it can be any age thankyou for helping me find myself :) <3
ryan dude i used to be a 270lb lazy video game player who never left the house until i started watching videos of you man. now i'm 180 and a parkour freak all thanks to you man. much love bro
You know, when I was a bit younger I used to think parkour was the coolest thing in the world, but I got a bit older and other things became too important to even think about fun. I'm 15 now and find myself working myself to all my extremes so I can start parkour because it still is, not only amazingly cool, but beautiful. Ryan, you've been an inspiration for me and I'm pretty sure if it wasn't for you I'd never have started working myself to reach where I want to be. Thank you.
Im not sure if Ryan will ever get to see this cause a hacker keeps deleting my comments but if he does I just wanted ta say thanks 4 bringing parkour to my life.
hey, Ryan. I need some advice. what kind of shoes would you recommend for parkour. I heard the asics patriot shoes should be good, but i can´t seem to find them anywhere in my city.
@EivindS94 Yeah, I bought the Puma Faas 300's 'cause they didn't have the KO's in my size. Um, just be aware that the Pumas do wear out quickly, especially if you do Parkour or Freerun in them.
@Bikni221 hmm. that´s not good, ´cause they were kind of expensive here in Norway. but I don´t know if I can get the KO´s here. and buying shoes over the internet is a bad idea ´cause of the risk of them not fitting and you can´t go back to the store and change them. hmm, what to do?
@Bikni221 hmm, what about the KO´s? I looked at the site and I think they have my size. but what if they´re like bigger in size than other shoes? do they have a return-policy-thing?
@EivindS94 I just checked. '"Please always continue to order your true size and we will continue to make adjustments on our end to make sure you get the shoe that fits you."
I guess that means you'll be able to return it and try a new size.
Good work ryan. i love that you are changing peoples perception of parkour. i dont like how people complain about definitions. definitions are just words and parkour is all about expressing yourself. its what you want it to be. everyone is different and unique.
such an inspiration something on my bucket list is to meet you ryan doyle truly a man i look up to thru what u tell us i thought of my own philosophy its specific to us "disapointment comes from failing to attempt the doable, not failing the doable, from that you learn"
Ryan, I'm 28 years old and have Ehlers Danlos IV. Before my knees went out I was an all state athlete in track, football, basketball, and dabbled in gymnastics. When I was 22 I had both of my knees replaced after a year in a wheel chair and was told that I could never be athletic again because of the risk of falling and hurting myself. Recently I started learning parkour because of the lessened impact on my joints.I'll never fly like you,but thank you for teaching me to fall with your videos
@kaggyx The instructional videos you put up have allowed me to learn the way to be safe if I were to fall, and with that I've had the confidence to begin running again even if it's only short distances. Seriously, thank you for the time you took to make your videos, and the time you've put into mastering this art.
@RyanDoylePKTV I'm not sure if this is one of Ryan's channels or not. Either way, Ryan, if you see this, I just want to let you know that you are an inspiration to my Parkour life. I used to do Gymnastics until I quit, now I've found Parkour and it's making me a whole. It makes me feel like I can accomplish anything I put my heart into.
@Bikni221 i did see this:) thank you, welcome to the real journey, your another great example of someone who's found what parkour means, that you'll figure out a way to find anything you want, including happyness :)
@RyanDoylePKTV Ryan if you see this i reccently started parkour i'm not tallest of people but i love it i'd like to let you know that people like you ryan are just what the world needs more of over the past weeks of me doing parkour i learnt what you mean by overcoming things so thank you ryan i hope you read this peace brandon!
@RyanDoylePKTV I'm loving parkour, too!!XD but, I'm a beginner... If I will keep training parkour, can I get better it skill as you? I wanna to be traceur like you!!:)
