  • @SOOMPiBABY

Google "John Bilezikjian". You can get his CDs through his website

  • @Chickiboom

I know this is a late reply but I wanted to thank you for the information. It's very helpful but unfortunately I have no way to purchase it..lol

  • TRANSITION WAS TOO ABRUPT. I did not get it!

  • I love this :) I saved it on my fav. I keep going back to seeing her do the Turkish drop. Which is very hard and also hard to get up from.

  • She is very stiff. Def not a true dancer like Fifi Abdo

  • @jazcor i agree it just does not strike a cord with me. great energy though

  • where is the same video of this dance but the longer version ??? plzzz i need it thanx

  • what is the name of the first song? Please^^ Thanx

  • What about the 2nd song who's it by and what's it called?

  • I ♥ Turkish BELLYDANCE !

  • whats the second song? dum didi?

  • It's an old Turkish folksong called "Çadırımın üstüne" (Rain is dripping on my tent). Among bellydancers it's beter known as "Rompi Rompi". There must be hundreds of versions going around. This one, by John Bilezikjian is my favourite

  • What's the name of the first song? i know only the singer, John Bilezikjian

  • Sallasana, it is name, excuse my english Iam Venezuelan ja ja.

  • A little too rushed. Lots of energy isn't exactly what it's all about. Not that she doesn't execute well-she just pushes it a bit hard.

  • @NightsMuse exactly. you stole my words before i could even say them. im glad im not the only one who thinks this is a bit too much

  • what is the name of the first song? i love it

  • Does anyone have Rania's "Wing of Isis" performance where she is dressed in a gold outfit? Im looking everywhere to find the original song that goes with that video. Could someone please upload it? The original is a pharonic song and it matches the video really well. Thank you :)

  • i think i've said it before and i'll say it again. i like it.

  • someone tell me where i can find this version of telegrafin please....

  • John Bilezkijian, the cd is called "Magic"

  • 素足で踊っているので 素晴らしい

  • トルコのbellydanceはエジプト人よりフットワークをもっとたくさん使用する

  • her beginning is really cool but it seems liek she gets a bit wild towards the end of her danc eint he pink outfit. but hats off to the beginning of the dance. tiiiiiiteeee!!!!

  • Well, thanks for taking the time to let us all know, then...

  • First of all I'm female and not a gozer, and with my dark eyes and long black curls I hardly qualify as your typical kaaskop. But why the need to insult the entire Dutch nation? just cause you don't like this clip? Lighten up dude. Turkish dance encompasses a wide range --from Trakya in the west to Horon in the Black Sea region to Roman Havasi to the "oryantal" dancing of divas like Sema Yildiz and Nesrin Topkapi. Each has its own beauty, just a matter of taste. No need to freak out about it.

  • and btw, it's "get a life". "Live" is something that happens in front of an audience....;-)

  • this looks a bit rushed...and (sorry) brutal. I dont see much "turkish" stuff in it...

  • Come onnnnnnnn I am Turkish and nobody is dancing like this in my country!!!! Nice joke it is :)

  • O nee? Laatste keer dat ik in het Orient House in Istanbul ging kijken stonden ze toch echt zo te huppelen...

  • fabuloso

  • The only thing that is Turkish about this is the jumping and the floor work. If you want Turkish, Eva Cernik and Artemis Mourat are the way to go.

  • Don't forget Dalia Carella. Ofcourse there's no comparison; unfortunately Rania's all I've got:-(

  • rania muy buena bailarina :) no puedo encontrar la cancion :(

  • it´s time for mezze!!..=)

  • I absolutely adore this dances, especially the one where she wears pink. She is so into it, she puts her heart in it and her technique is great. She is so inspiring!!! After watching this I bought her DVD!

  • VaaYttt

  • where is she from?? she learnt Turkish style well but has to work more .

lol the Turkish accent of this man who sings the songs is so sweet -funny lol

  • I think she has a greek background but learned a lot of the dance from the greek and turkish regions when she was younger.

  • have to say i dont rate it. All the peices are there, but they dont flow and there is no heart

  • She is 100% Greek, and all Greek dancers have heart and soul in there dance...that is something you are born with.Greeks&Turks share many things, you grow up hearing both Greek&Turkish songs...also Rampi Rampi is karshlama,Greeks have a verion as well :)

  • she is insulting turkish belly dance:D she cant do it! it seems she didnt practise well to be able to dance in turkish style

  • its a cover version by John Bilezikjian of the turkish original "telgrafin telleri" by Zeki Müren.

woooa i love this version, i hadnt heard it before but it rocks!!!

its still in turkish, i can understand each word, but its sung with an (armenian?) accent which makes it so good to me.

  • but i still enjoy it nonetheless. it's nice and upbeat. i can't seem to find this version of the song however. who's the artist, anyone know?

  • i agree. very technical. not a lot of soul.

  • the song souns armo

  • song name is Telgrafin tellerine kuslarmi konar..

  • i like it, no matter what professionals and haters say. i ain't professional, i do bellydance as an amateur.. and i enjoy rania's shows. isn't bellydance also about expressing yourself simultaneously entertaining people?

  • good technique, but no soul

  • the name of song, please:))))

  • I love her outfit. I think the best part of the dance is only the beginning. Does anyone know where to find the first song. I can't find it.

  • If you do, please also notify me! Untill now all my efforts were without results :(........

  • i cant rania ... she is so commercial. she rarely has any expression when she dances and cant improvise to save her life...i teach bellydance and advise the class not to imitate her.

  • but she has good dance motions and choreography. what do u think about that?

  • i have this DVD!!!

  • Does any1 know the name of the 1st song in the video "Lebanese Belly Dancing - Asmahan"?

    I heard it's Turkish.

  • That song is Arabic: "Nebtidi Mnaim el Hakiya" by Mohamed Abdel Wahab. You can find it on the first Bellydance Superstar CD

  • good .. i also suggest you didem ( belly dancer in atv ibo show )

  • Great

  • this is an very old ottoman song and this is ottoman dance....

  • That sounds interesting; do you mean by "Ottoman" that this the style of dancing done in the royal courts as opposed to the more "folk" styles of dance as in Sulukule? What about the Romani gestures she uses in the second song?

  • does anyone know what song Rania uses on the video entitled: "Turkish bellydance by Rania" please tell me if u know

  • That's "Mavi Mavi" by John Bilezikjian from the album "Magic of John Bilezikjian"(actually a medley with Telegrafin Tellerine")

  • thanks alot

  • ok!!!!! so this is turkish belly dance

  • Sorry, but telgrafin telleri is not a bellydance music !!

  • Hi Zadiel,

Considering the wide range of styles of music I've seen dancers performing to,I'm quite curious as to what you consider bellydance music and why Telerin doesn't qualify. Perhaps you'd care to enlighten us

  • there is no specific 'music' for belly dance. belly dance is danced by women to celebrate womanhood etc and is not confined to a specific style. It is a personal experience for the dancer/s and the music you use depends on what inspires you as a dancer! I dance to traditional belly dance music, sting desert rose, shakira and nancy ajram. I am still belly dancing!

  • which cd is Telerin from anyone?

  • "Turkish-Rania" is really her best style :)

Rompi, Rompi I do know, but who's sinning Telerin? This voice is hipnotizing...

  • this version of telegrafi tellerine is sung by John Bilezikjian from the album "Magic of John Bilezikjian". The whole album is fantastic and worth getting. He is of Armenian heritage and known even more for playing the oud over singing --- he resides in Orange County, CA.

  • Both songs are by John Bilezikjian. Rompi ia from his CD "Sirocco". In fact, all his CDs are great. Some people find his music a bit too Westernized, but I love them.

  • "rompi rompi" version I know is by Omar Faruk Tekbilek. John Bilezikjian is a mystery for me :) Probably hard to get in Europe - only Turkish music available in Turkish stores is made (not surprising) in Turkey. But I'll look around...

  • I don't like her American or Egyptian styles but she really does do a good Turkish style dance, especially her Rompi Rompi. It makes me want to learn the Turkish styles.

Does anyone know what the hnd gestures mean? I heard they have to do with prostitutes giving signs about what they offer. An truth in that?

  • There are a lot of wild theories about Romani hand gestures; according to Artemis Mourat (who has spent most of her life researching Turkish Romani dances and is herself an amazing dancer) they mean....absolutely nothing!!! They're just fun playful things the Roma like to throw in their dances -- sort of a private joke on the non-Gypsies who can't help wondering what all these mysterious gestures mean:-)

  • I took a workshop with Artemis last weekend. Shes hilarious! But yes she did mention the gestures mean pretty much NOTHING! :)

  • in turkey, theres dances where the dancers "challenge" each other (for lack of a better term) heres a few.

hitting ur arm going up means i have more bracelets than you

sliding your hand across you stomach is like your too skinny, you need some meat

fists hitting the hips is just like "cmon, i dare you" or like "whatever"

your hand across your throat is im so rich i can buy fancy necklaces

and hitting your fists together is ill bash your head open but not meant literally

  • SHe does the best turkish drops Ive ever seen. You go girl

  • i think u should check out tanyeli first

  • Beautiful music and beautiful dancing.
