Love their "drifting and dreaming" type of music that just flows so smooth and effortlessly. Also, their song of Drifting and Dreaming" is beautiful that I used to listen over & over as a kid on the old 78's.
Fantastic! I'm making a feature documentary and looking for a higher quality version of this film. Could you tell me it's source? I love your collection.
@05310910 These Guy Lombardo clips look like they were part of the band's syndicated TV series from the mid-50's. But I don't know if the programs are available on DVD. Would be awfully nice if they were.
@pgh45rpms I recall that I saw a DVD last year for sale on Amazon.
I am also looking for these elusive , it seems, DVD recording.
A former YT'er BritishAgenda sent the majority of these songs to upload prior to leaving, for some reason, YouTube almost 2 years ago when I only had one channel " holdorfold ". , still on YT.
He never gained great fame individually, but Kenny Gardner was a superb big band singer. His voice and style perfectly complemented Lombardo's dance-oriented Royal Canadians.
Carmen wrote and recorded another song that you seldom hear. I heard it once on a cable station that was showing Guy Lombardo's orchestra and one of the songs was "Little Red Cabin"...written and sung by Carmen. Actually it was sung on the show by Carmen, Kenny Gartner and another I can't remember. I would love it if you had this song and posted it....it is that good...Thanks!
Wonderful to see the band playing their biggest hits! You are the only one on youtube with Lomardo film! Thanks. It makes it more awesome! I saw the band at a dance back in 1972. Such a class act! All in black tuxedos and had the twin grand pianos too. Amazing how they keep a steady tempo with no drummer.
With class singers like Kenny Gardner , Carmen Lombardo, Mr. Crysdale (I believe) on piano , and all other band members, their multiple talents certainly made the music a pleasure to listen to.

@05310910 I have a similar difficulty sorcing these videos.
I received these 10 clips back in March 2009 from ex-YT'er BritishAgenda.
I did note that there are DVD's for sale on Amazon.com
There are MANY copies of my Guy Lombardo videos on the internet and YT.
I wonder if the owners of the Roosevelt Grille would have info about who filmed these performances.
I hope this helps you in your search. If I find relevant info, I will inform you.

@larrydonguy Yes, Kenny Gardner had that special singing voice and musician. Carmen Lombardo, Bill Flannigan and another were quite good.

@geena6 LKuckily, we have this film footage of Guy Lombardo.
Wouldn't it be a loss without this film - I would say.
I have noticed that some YT'ers have copied these songs - oh well.
It is a VERY easy way to make a video.
At least I can take the credit for actually making ths video, Georgina.
Anyways, enjoy this good dance music.
