I've never been a big fan of polls even when they say what id like to hear.Yes im happy about this news. I like to keep focus on what the candidates ideas are. I do think the obama glow is gone gone gone and it's been replaced by reality. John McCain will win.
These polls are so fragile. They are very scientific, but they are based on sample demograhics and temporary moods. Things that can alter a poll: change of seasons, vp candidate, party convention, stock market, war casualties, candidate's hair cut, olympic results, price of fuel. All of these examples can change within hours and there are still around 80 days left which means around 1900 hours. Polls provide a lot of information so rapidly, but it is mostly temporary.
This may be shocking to some, but to me it was just a matter of time. It was obvious to most of us who weren't under the spell that Obamas charm would wear off sooner or later. Now that it has, and people are beginning to take a closer look at these guys, it becoming more and more obvious that Obama isn't the man for the job. Once the debates kick into gear, it's just going to get worse for Obama too.

The most likely reason was because of the sound decision that Pelosi made...people are looking for NOW instead of the long term outcome which is more important and will save the most money/ be the most beneficial.If the ban lifting was approved by congress,it is definite that Bush and co.wouldn't have cared about not harming the environment,Obama on the other hand would more than likely monitor what the drillers were doing instead of Bush, who basically doesn't care if the world turns to rubble.

I don't support abortion. If you support this drilling under Bush, not only do you not support our country but you do not support the world. Bush doesn't give a damn about any of the damage to the environment he would do, hell if he could find cheaper oil buried, he would take out the whole damn shelf just to get at it, no matter how much is there. Oil has ruled congress for too long, and it is getting us nowhere, except more destruction.

The Zogby poll was really conducted Aug 10-16 & showed McCain ahead by 5 pts 41-46.
Since that time we've had 6 other National Polls, including CBS, NBC & even FOX & they all show BARACK AHEAD.
So if there has been any SURGE in recent days that would be a SURGE by Barack.
Having said all that, the race will be extremely close & look for Rove to play dirty at the end, so everything will depend on who can get the most voters out.

I've never been a big fan of polls even when they say what id like to hear.Yes im happy about this news. I like to keep focus on what the candidates ideas are. I do think the obama glow is gone gone gone and it's been replaced by reality. John McCain will win.

These polls are so fragile. They are very scientific, but they are based on sample demograhics and temporary moods. Things that can alter a poll: change of seasons, vp candidate, party convention, stock market, war casualties, candidate's hair cut, olympic results, price of fuel. All of these examples can change within hours and there are still around 80 days left which means around 1900 hours. Polls provide a lot of information so rapidly, but it is mostly temporary.

First of all, it's "War on TerrorISM". I won't allow Bush the leeway to attack anybody because they make you tremble in your boots with TERROR. We're against terrorISTS, not an emotion. Second, it doesn't make sense to fight a tactic because you can't defeat it. It's like waging a war on drive-by shootings.
