I'm on that gym &I got water 2 & this is gonna b real hard cause I just caught a ponyta lv. 24 & I gotta train it 20 lv. btw I got a lv. 37 Luxray, 33 Empoleon, 33 Beautifly, 34 Roselia, and a 31 Staravia. This really sucks I really think I should start a new game with Chimchar. Should I??????? Please help

Uhm...the whole point is that some of the gyms will be more challenging. If you restart with a fire starter, there will still be gyms that will be more difficult to beat. You just can't have a starter that works well on everything. Honestly, dude.

besides, you could always just RAISE your ponyta to a Rapidash. i'm not sure if it's the late 30s or early 40s that it evolves, but just spend enough time with it, and you will end up with some seriously badass results. i've made it a point to specialize with Kadabra (seeing as though i don't have a wireless router, heirgo, no trade for Alakazam), and train the f*ck out of him, with psychic, recover, and future sight (i bred abra with Gardevoir), and any other random move, your choice. just try!

i chose water too. I have a lvl 44 staraptor, used fly all 4 times and all were 1 hit KO. Only damage i took was from hail storm, but it started at the very beginning and lasted till the end, and only took half my hp. Medicham used protect 3 times, so on him it took 4th time to hit though.

I didnt feel like training ponyta xD

for all u people askin how he got his pokemon so stroing its because you train your pokemon a hell of alot in the begining and only use that pokemon for every trainer and so on i got a level 65 torterra by this gym that way
