i read the first two of the three books. after the first one i cried. the second one my anger grew. cause of the aftermath that Dave went through. how could any mother do something like this to their child.

Im a 16 year old boy and i read once in a while not really that much but i picked this one book out, read the first two paragraphs and couldnt put the book down. I absolutly LOVE this book & the unbelieveable sad story of Dave.

I don't really know how to explain, how I felt, after only reading the 1st Chapter-The Rescue. My heart filled with an overwhelming amount of sadness, that I've never felt before and I hadn't even started reading it. I feel that burning in hell for eternity isn't enough for what she did to Dave. Dave Pelzer makes me feel like, ANYTHING is possible!!!

I have read all David's Books. I am currently working on Helping Yourself. One thing thru reading his books is I am amazed at how he has no anger at his mom or at all. I just cannot do that. It made me mad at him sometimes in reading his books I just wanted him to be mad or cuss or out or something. I know that it would only hurt him if he were angry but how do u find that place. I cannot help how I feel and what I feel is far far from forgiveness.

When I started reading the book, "A child called it", I did not put it down. I read it from cover to cover in 2 hours!! What this man went through was HELL!! It was very hard for me not to feel anger and hatred towards Daves' mother. I have the first two books. The 1st book will have you in tears and shock at how a mother could treat her own child like that. For anyone that does not have the 1st book, you must get it. His story is remarkable.

do you still have the interviews?? Best book i ever read by the way.. It's 3 books a child called it, a foster child, and a man named dave.. I read them all when i was like 15 wich was 10 years ago.. Very good video by the way..
