i grew up on the rd below the mountain "seymour ave" spent just about day on that rock as a kid,many caves there.these days not many people go there,lots of wildlife, snakes also,some i couldnt identify to!!the hike is very easy walk up the path and ur there,some area u need to climb but nothing serious at all...danny deveeto how ever u spell it filmed a movie up there shooting towards the factors we now know as stop n shop..the forest around the mountain burned down one yr...crazy stuff.....

Did castle rock 50 years ago. now find the cave top to bottom? we did!spent alot of time there. lived on new st.

I lived in CT the first 24 years of my life. Sure is something in the Fall, especially.
We spent a lot of time in Meridan/Southington up at the tower on Meriden Mountain, and on the App Trail. Very beautiful and invigorating.
I have family up in Winchester Ctr., and there's some serious scenery up that way as well.
