What works for me is getting good at one or two guns so if i get tired of experimenting i can go back to that class and what i do to make it fun is using different kill-streaks, and i can get different kill-streaks using the gun i have experience with. thanks for reading all that. ;D

MW2 was good because you unlocked Emblems and callsigns and attachments by completing challenges and using different guns. In black ops you can buy most things so there's no incentive to play. Which is why I got bored

I keep giving myself goals for example; first i wanted to get all pro perks(minus second chance) 2. get a minimum of 100 kills with every primary and keep a positive kdr with each. 3. Make my actual favorite weapon the stakeout my favorite weapon on my combat record. I've completed all those so now I want to get 1000 kills with each primary and keep them in the green.

Istill enjoy black ops. Usually I take a few days to a week break between a prestige and I find that helps. I would go back to old COD's but I dont have COD4 or MW2 anymore, still got WaW but there is no point playing online cause its just full of people using this flying invcibility glitch which is bloody annoying for people like me who just want to play normally. Then play other different games too, playing a variety of games keeps you interested as BO is then different to what you have got.

I then engage in rigorous use of crossbows and ballistic knives for entire games, play wager matches until the alcohol strikes back and i proceed to nauseate and hallucinate in intense sleep deprivation. Oh yeah and keep prestiging, when you stay at lvl 50, your wasting $60 that you spent for the game. @TheStevonator not really. any of the guns i mentioned trump the 74u even at close range(unless you equip rapid fire and even then its a crap shoot, the 74u is garbage ever since treyarch nerfed it.). ARs own in CODBO. thats the bottom line. start checkin combat records and 9 times outta ten you'll find Famas, Galil, Aug, Commando, Ak47. With the 74u maybe occupying the 3rd slot getting most of its kills pre-patch.

I always change up my loadouts when I play mw2. I even use the LMGs. RPD and AUG is fun. They only time I feel like I'm putting myself at a disadvantage is when I use a sniper rifle. You do see more variety in mw2 than you do Black Ops.

what keeps me coming back to Black-ops is by just having fun. I play on the PC and for me I try some new things that I see commentaters doing. Like Take the persons gun that you just killed and doing that for a whole match. The trick is to never use the same gun more then once unless you kill two or more people using the same gun. But even then your still picking up a different gun.

Just try new things. Like Sneaking around placing claymores behind people.

Spas with crossbow and tomahawk is a blast. Sure you usually will not own with this set up, but getting a hawk or crossbow kill is so rewarding. It just keeps it fun. Screw your kdr and keep a "who gives shit?!" class set up at all times, for when you need to refresh the gameplay.
