they look cool with one of the purple pen lasers. but watch out its easy to reflect it back in your eye with such small spheres, and purple hurts pretty good even at <5mw
One thing I found using an LED does not show the glass on camera well for some reason maybe because it is brighter and they tend to reflect but in person with an LED flash light they look cool. I used a fluorescent light in my videos.
UV die is nothing new and nothing to do with uranium or any radioactive source. There won't be U in this product, it won't be radioactive, perhaps the brand name has "uranium" in it, but the product doesn't.
@Fleetfox10 the marbles would have to be compressed to supercritical mass for a fissile reaction can take place. That's if it's already uranium255(don't know if that's correct, don't flame me) in the first place.
@powertoolification you need an unnaturally high concentration of U235 proportionate to the more common (and far less radioactive) U238. If you had a sufficient quantity of these marbles and extracted the uranium, you could still never achieve chain fission without first 'enriching' that uranium to achieve a much higher concentration of U235. -not flaming you, just food for thought :)
If i'm not mistaken there is a certain glass "Type" called Uranium. Its because of the colors and the way it is formed... but it could be the real deal, but if it is try not to breath near it the carbon monoxide can detonate it. same with any other carbon base materials. be careful and leery about the things your able to buy freely even though the government is watching our every move... lol
these look like a special glass that you can get most anywhere... names fails me. If you shine a black-light i=on them it glows..... sorry but im doubting your radioactivity
@killman369547 so you don't have a fire alarm? (but the alpha particles only go as far as the silver barrier. although there are electrolite sensor ones, but u need TONS of them. u would have billions. if u have under 3, they're radioactive...
@GeeksRus95 Yes. They used to use depleted uranium as its 1.6 times denser than lead so you need less. Its relatively low radioactivity posed no risk except in aviation mishaps where under the right conditions uranium will ignite at around 300+ degrees fahrenheit and burn in regular air, causing it to become atomized uranium dioxide, which is both radioactively and chemically toxic to inhale/ingest. The dust can spread far and wide. For this reason, new planes use other materials.
@MillyVanillification its not radioactive, it's just a material which fluoresces under UV light. "Neon Glow Uranium" is probably nothing more than a brand name or some rubbish the poster pulled out of the air.
@KX36 Incorrect. Uranium oxides have been used to dye glass and ceramic for over 2000 years and it is indeed, athough very mildly, radioactive. Its use continues today, often with a warning against use with food, which could dissolve traces and be consumed, though this probably poses more risk from heavy metal toxicity than radioactivity. While this has nothing to do with it's radioactivity, it is uranic oxide that fluoresces under ultra-violet light.
@MillyVanillification the radiation is extremely low because of the low concentration of uranium in the glass and also due to the composition of uranium isotopes.
@ReadyRave Hi, thanks for watching, this is a very silly ebay product... are glass, and looks nice with my other marbels, just that. Please, see my other vids. Regards from Buenos Aires.

@CxC2007 I wonder how they ship them. Radium Glass radiates with about 2 uSv/h. I thought radiating materials are prohibitetd in planes :)
