Back in the days of 16 bit war, I had both Genesis and SNES, but with this game, Nintendo did what Sega couldn't. Incredible music and gameplay even (specially) today.
My dick got a boner just at 0:17. Even my cock wants to relive its youth. Free from the persecution and aggravation of females.. Free to enjoy video games like starfox and listen to its music in all of its awesomeness glory in peace.. damn i miss my heman lunchbox.
This was Epic with a capital "E", then and now. The FX chip and polygonal shapes were cool and futuristic looking for the time. Unfortunately, the day after my mom bought this and my first SNES I was in bed sick as a dog. I had to watch my brother play it...bastard, lol.
@1:23 Oh yeah, Piping hot Di Giorno pizza, home made orange-julius, and playing the crap out this game with my bro until passing out at 5 in the morning.
I'll have to say that I enjoyed the original sounds used for voices in older video games, rather than real voices themselves. Games aren't supposed to be attached to the real world, they're video games, fantasy, better than what real life can currently offer.
Not sure if you knew, but they got close to making a StarFox2 for the SNES.. however it was dumped because the next console was coming out.. however if you look around some ROM sites you can find copies of the game.. depending on which ROM you get, its pretty close to being a finished game.. Looked like it would have been amazing..
@Sonicdash0 lmao i have the games, the system and the controllers, but when the system doesnt work you cant use the game and the controllers very well xD
@Sonicdash0 Hehe, so close yet so far huh? You should try an emulator, it would be perfectly legal if you still own the SNES. I own the SNES and the emulator and now I take it everywhere with me on my pen drive. :3
ah god this is amazing love the music on this :) anyone remember the training at the beginning? having that rabbit constantly shout "stay in formation!" at you was soo annoying i swear you couldn't even move like them. might have just been me :P
Still one of the best soundtracks of all time, topped only by an elite few. The SPC sound engine was vastly underrated. I actually prefer this stuff over all the orchestral, recorded stuff these days. This music is raw data, clean and simple melodies straight into your head, no backup instruments all over the place drowning it out and distracting you, not limited to the range of the actual instruments, and it's got that soft sort of "buzz" to it that's just so good to listen to.
@schn0x So did i man. I got my SNES back in the day with Starfox in a bundle on christmas. I seriously had never again this excitement with a game or a console like i had it with this. It's one of the clearest memorys of my early days as i hook up this time vampire called super nintendo. Don't wan't to miss a moment of that, good times.
I am fairly certain they reused audio clips from certain places in the game, and I think Falco's audio clip was a reuse of the "Wing Damage" clip, repeated on the first word, and slowed down. So every time I hear Falco talk, I hear "Wing, wing, wing damage."
What an excellent soundtrack for an excellent game. I remember when I was a kid, I actually fell over because the 3D made me try to physically dodge the lasers!
It's been awhile since I've played this and I can't remember all the songs except a few, but of those I do remember: Venom 2, Corrneria, and the secret level were my favorites
