Although the crimes of psychopathic killers can be taken as a metaphor for the darker acts of ordinary people, the minds of psychopathic killers are so far removed from the minds of ordinary people that the comparison is severely misplaced. It is our attempts to draw a comparison between ourselves and psychopaths that is a function of the very thing that makes us incomparable. We have the ability to empathise, to see other minds as being as real as our own. Psychopaths do not.
He created such a deep atmosphere! And it's a well written song...
Did you guys notice the camera man behind Sufjan, wording the song with him? hehe... lets hope we all get to see Sufjan Stevens Live, before we die =P
anyone notice he messed up when he first sang a the part "to the dead'? he's still very talented and I guess that one slip makes me like his music even more.
I go through different feelings when i hear this song. Its sad but also fills me with a hope and courage to look to the future, despite all that is lost. Sufjan's voice casts has such a great mystical effect. One of my favourite voices.
is it just me or does it seem as tho his lips dont match what hes saying?
