@MrMeidon Hi there, iv heard that i should have run a de-noise filter before doing it, as by using three videos on top of each other it just multiplies the noise.
Hi ! Nice video.. I'm just wondering if the HDR feature of Magic Lantern was activated when you shot this video or the HDR was made only in AE & PhotoMatrix? Thanks.
@shikamakausis, you said yourself it's a single video. A single video does not possess HDR qualities, the effect can ONLY be faked unless you're using two or more videos overlayed over one another.
really cool....I think the goal with HDR is to recreate the old technicolor film...and you need 3 cameras. It doesn't really matter if they are 5d or anything else, the film has to be shot in 3 different exposures. Sorry software geeks, you have to create something physically to get the best outcome. That hurts, I know.
Ehmm... if this was a single video, this is just a tonemapped video, not HDR, right? HDR would be achieved by combining different exposures, this is just one exposure per frame.
@davehaslanded Tutorial in the comments section. This used a DSLR Canon 550D in Video mode, and then used Adobe After Effects and PhotoMatrix and a single video.
After Effects was used just to piece together the HDR images that photo-matrix outputed, and raise and lower the contrast
@zan2032 Great image quality...there doesn't seem to be much difference, if any between the canon dslr's? I know 5d has full frame but does it also have better video quality than the T2i or even the 7d?
And i thought the DSLR's naturally had a higher HDR, right? So you can enhance the HDR in any cameras footage then?
@whole27 The t2i/550D is an amazing camera, and would highly recommend it over any other models except the 5D, which yes is full frame, and if you can afford it. The 5D is much better then the 7D
They are able to pick up a lot more light and detail then video cameras, thus i was able to create this HDR video from a single video.
If you do get the t2i/550D i suggest you look at Magic Lantern software for it, which will turn it from a 600$ camera to a 2000$ worth of functionality.
@zan2032 Yea but besides the full frame, is the 5d really worth the price hike....the HDR seems almost the same in this and other Canons? It seems as though you are just paying for the full frame and nothing else in the 5d.
What is Magic Lantern, i heard that before....is it video editing software or hack software? I don't even know what hacking is exactly? And does that also make the 5 better HDR quality?
its seems promising, but dont you think there's way too much noise?! how to make noise reduction?

People shouldn't use the term HDR for filters that fake the effect.

@CodyRicheson well that aint the fillter, you probably cant tell the difference between hdr and filters
