  • I would recomend using som locktite 243 on the threads to insure the don't shake loose after a while.

  • i mounted 2 buttkickers on my playseat without mods & its been months, it works perfectly. there are ways to mount up to 4 buttkickers without mods.

  • I just bought mine at videogamecentral also. Little pricey but well worth it in my opinion. It came complete with everything I needed. I just popped it on in 30 seconds.

  • Fantastic tutorial! I'm in the UK and bought a socket for £4.50 and you can get the screws for about £3

  • Got my buttkicker adapter at VideoGameCentral's online site.. couldn't find the pieces you spoke of because the Playseat is Europeon (metric) sized

  • not find the BUTTKICKER GAMER what i can do?? can use another? help!!! please!!

  • Thank you! Awesome.

  • I wonder how much a comb costs where he lives?

  • Dirt 3 is crazy with a Buttkicker. I shit you not if you drive your car into a pond, it feels like you drove into a pond, it's messed, I can't even explain it.. I think it's because of Dirt 3's Rapture3D sound engine.. it is VERY accurate at sound reproduction.

3D helps bring it all together as well :-)

  • Well done, simple and it works... nice one! thanks for an idea

  • by the way, I just solve the problem of the left or right kicking, you only have to use 2 more Y adapter to make sure you are using both left AND right signal and then send it to the amp.

    Its way better that way!

  • I thought the buttkicker has a shoe. ( lol )

  • "salandrikal"

  • these things are soooooooo queer if i would like a rattle playing games i would shove my gf's toy up my arse, and i like how you explain everything like you was to a dead person who knows nothing :I

  • like omg

  • out of stock for 6 months, but today it finally arrived

  • Could u use this for call of duty to feel more into the game

  • Great tutorial.

I have the WRC Playseat and used an impact (blk) 15/16 socket 3 inch tall $12, a metric 6mm hex screw (M6-50) from home depot $0.69 along with a lock washer $0.11.

    The setup is solid.

    Thanks!

  • @alb3rtw0ng thanks for posting the measurements, saved me some time when setting mine up, was able to get all the part in one stop at my local hardware store without any guesswork.

@ akaTrent, thanks for posting the vid, great idea for a simple solution to this problem. Working flawlessly for me.

  • put some loctite glue on that screw otherwise it will rattle low

  • If you live in an apartment and have people living beneath you......is this still ok to mount or will the people downstairs get insane as the whole frame is on the floor?

  • Dude needs a comb!

  • hey, awesome vid & scarf! When it's vibrating, can you hear the piston or it chattering? I don't want it distracting me while playing u know?

    THanks!

  • Nice scarf. My wife loved you on Project Runway. :p

  • @Billkwando It was pretty fierce haha

  • @akaTRENT

Hahahah :D You two made my day :DDD

  • @Billkwando Check my video thats going up tonight for an even weirder hair cut...

  • @akaTRENT LOL great video though. If I can ever get the spare cash for a buttkicker, I'm totally gonna refer back to this video.

Oh if you're into racers, and don't already know, check out the Model 2 emulator. Daytona is emulated working with full FFB and you can use that logitech wheel. :D :D :D

Yes, I'm 2 years late but it's good news to me!

  • awesome! i did everything as instructed on the video. got all the items from lowes. the setup is perfect! thanks so much for sharing.

  • Nice mod, after seeing this video I went to lowe's & got everything I needed...Rock Solid.

  • lol@fornza

  • Thanks trent....Ive adapted it onto my diy racing rig

  • cyLANdrical?

  • @HayaboostaTT Yes, I noticed that too but forgot to comment on it. Now I'm gonna go play Doom at a LIN party.

  • i attached my buttkicker to the stick shift mount on the evo. works fine.

  • Thanks man. once I get my playseat I will def do this!!

  • How many mm is the diameter of the Socket spanner used? and how long is it? thank you very much

  • gooooooooooooooood job man

  • AWESOME!!!!!!... dude, clear video, clear voice, excellent presentation.. I was looking for a buttkicker review on the Playseat Evo, and found this.. now I made up my mind and I'm going to buy this buttkicker.

  • WTF Is a butkicker ?

  • @JamboStudios

it kicks your butt, BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA xD ROTFLMAO BAHAHAHAHA

  • So I've had my Buttkicker Gamer 2 for a bit now, and it's still going strong, I don't know how your even feeling anything if your keeping it low enough that the clip light doesn't blink.

I think they just put the wrong word on the amp, because seriously... I can turn it up and the red light blinks, but the Buttkicker isn't even that hot, just sort of warm, but if I turn it up way beyond when the light starts to blink, it over heats and turns off . CONTINUED....

  • @1981z28camaro ......this tells me that the Buttkicker runs fine even if the "Clip" light is blinking, otherwise it would heat up and turn off, AS SOON as you went above the point where it lights up, but it doesn't.

anyways, I think they messed up, and actually meant to put the word "Strength"

I'm just trying to say that you can go beyond the point where it lights up TO AN EXTENT, 5 taps of the + button past the point where it JUST begins to blink, and a few more for games seems fine.

  • wtf is a buttkicker

  • aka Trent thanks for the video and steps...

It cost me $9 to get the socket and bolt with 3 washers, however I think it goes better at the front of the seat not the back like you placed it.

I find that at the back the vibration doesn't go through the whole playseat its too lose as there isn't enough weight to hold the buttkicker when it vibrates. After I moved it to the front the whole chair not just the back vibrates.

anyways, thanks again for the video and steps

  • sorry for my english im foreigner, ausländer.

  • you have to invest time work and money into this solution to mount it on a playseat!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Work + The noise is terrible. If you mount it like Trentkowski aka kumar did. I´m a locksmith metalworker and mount it this way.Sorry for this story but here is the answer: Buy a Playseat Gearshift holder for the g25/g27 shifter and you can attached it there!!! The Vibrations are better by less noise.Just order and mount it. You need no tools no screws bolt and you´ll get no noise + shifter mount

  • @rado187 Can someone please tell me how to mount it on the playseat shifter adapter?

the tube on the shifter adapter is not cylindrical ????

    pics would be great!!!!

    thank you!

  • Greetings from Canada Trent.

Went to a fasteners place to get the parts on your list including the 15/16 socket, my bolt is fully threaded though but works fine. My Playseat is ready for the arrival of my BKG2 on Friday. Thank you for sharing this mod, excellent idea and your instructions are perfect and easy to do.

Again, thank you for sharing this Playseat mod with the world Trent, it's greatly appreciated.

    Take care

    Regards: >>>> Jack <<<<

  • Great post. All the hardware with along with metric hex bolt can be found at Lowes. The whole thing cost me 10$. I was looking for something like this.

  • There is a MUCH easier method. For the "clamp" part of the BK shaker, find a hexagonal threaded sleeve. It looks like a really long (2") nut. Just put it in the inside of the clamp, and attach it to the skinny square tube that runs horizontally across the front of the Playseat base. You're basically using the threaded sleeve to take up space inside the clamp so the clamp can tighten around that skinny square tube. Boom, done.

  • dude, as soon as you've finished those PHD's, NASA is gonna snap you up! ;)

  • @starbase18 I don't think NASA is going to hire someone who doesn't know the difference between a screw and a bolt.

  • @MrGeorgeorwell1984 lol, he know's the difference.

  • Bro, I tried to get the tools together with the items you suggested and the 2 inch hex screw was hella hard to find. The 3 inch socket alone cost me $22. The other tools, which I didn't have cost me another $24 to get everything. Then when I get home I realize that the screw I finally found was U.S. and the threads inside the Playseat are Europeon metric. I forced it all together but my buttkicker started loosening in TWO weeks due to Metric vs U.S. threads. Now my thing is stripped!

  • @vcamacho70 I am very sorry to hear this. I am in the us. I had no problems. Nothing in the video is exactly correct just a mild guide, I simply just shopped around until I found parts that worked for me, as I stated in the video.

  • @akaTRENT i would not have forced it butt i have been using tools 50 of my 57 years

y CANY HE TAKE THE CAP OFF THE LOWER TUB AND PLACE A NET OT THREADED BLOCK IN SIDE THE BIG TUB

    KEN

    SAFEMALE

  • @vcamacho70

go to a mom and pops hardware store like TrueValue or any hardware store that has an aisle full of drawers containing screws, washers, etc. Make sure you take the screw off from your playseat and carry it with you so you can match the screws diameter and depth of thread.

BTW. Thanks Trent. Your idea took my Playseat to a whole new level.

  • @vcamacho70 wanker, you should have listened!!

  • @bullshitdetective1 yeah, it doesn't work knucklehead.. did you try it or you just spewing bullshit mr detective?

  • @vcamacho70 i detect the bullshit not spew it!!! you obviously are a very thick person, not only did you screw up your playseat but you cant read either!!!

  • @bullshitdetective1 dude, VideoGameCentral sent me a shiny new buttkicker adpater. I took it out of the package and bam! I was playing DIRT in three minutes!! I ain't window shopping for tools to jury rig some gear.

  • @vcamacho70 Why didn't you just take the hex screw out of the playseat and bring it with you to the hardware store to find the proper match?

  • @vcamacho70 hi, re -tap the hole and then try again

  • You should of used a lock washer too

  • @ecotts Lock washer would have made a gap between the botom of the socket and playseat bracket. You want to most amount of metal to contact to get bigger vibration.

  • @akaTRENT Fair enough... ;)

  • @ecotts I was thinking about it though no doubt ;)

  • is that the logitech dfgt? and if so i heard that thing can hookup to the ps2 is that true?

  • @wikidone18 yes and yes

  • Great video and great timing, looking to get a Playseat myself and was wondering if there was a place to mount a buttkicker. Looks like a trip to a hardware store is all that is required. What sim you race on?

  • @BK0125 just gt5 at the moment

  • Great video as alway's man. Did you create the theme song at the beginning?

  • Nice. Would love this for GT5. Alas, not enough room.

  • awesomeeee

  • Do you seriously have a toy race car setup in your room?

  • @feltes45 I prefer racing sim.

  • yea 25 completes the simulation

  • Great video bro!!!

  • @haggardfool Thank you!

  • howq do u have a playseat without a g25...or do u have it an was not usin it

  • @mrchoppaboy I just use the gt, g27 is too speniv :( but i want it

  • what is the buttkcicker ment to do?

  • @theskill123456 Check description.

  • there where alot of thats what she said's in this vid
