  • I just bought one from Amazon and noticed they have tachometers for sale. Would you post a video about the installation you did. I have never done it before and would appreciate a tutorial.

  • @ 4:04 i was scared to death..hahahahaha like a ghost appeared. Question,,,,can you daisy chain more than 2 together and can you use natural gas with a special adapter on all models?

  • can it run the hold house it might save me some money...it look cool

  • Will this power 2000 watts continuosly? What is the retail cost?

  • @terrisonb This will do a surge of up to 2000 watts, but will only give a continuous 1600 watts. Before you say it, yes, even the EU2000 only gives continuous 1600 watts.

  • could i charge my laptop, phone and have lets say have 2lights on will it work?

  • @lucklyclover58 Of course you could. It's 2000watts. A 400 watt could do that.

  • @Gollsodia ii ccol thanks

  • The Yamaha ef200is is rated at a 16.7 amp start up draw. That is the split second power to supplied to star the saw motor. Most circular saws fall within this range. The saw itself will draw less than 15 amps and the ef200is can power these units easily.

  • great vid i wonder how big of a space heater you could run with that unit

  • You have a very clean garage & you are very organized-not like most guys I know.I think I will go outside & clean my garage today even though its freezing out. That garage floor paint is great that you have & I imagine that it keeps the floor clean.I am a woman(by the way.) Someday I might paint my garage floor becaus now with all the snow & ice its a mess.

  • Thanks for the overview/review. I just bought one for camping and power outages. The size and weight are just perfect for me. It really is quiet, I put it 10 feet outside a sliding glass door and could barely hear it. Oh, mine started on the third pull.

  • My guess is the reason they do not recommend running a circular saw is because of the possible surge in amperage when cutting... It may be 15 amps rated on the motor but when put under load, it may spike to above the generator's ratings. This might play havoc with the electronic voltage regulator. But like I say this is my guess as to why.

  • Would This Generator Be Good For Australian Motorhomes?

  • I have to remodel a cabin in the woods. Will this run a 15 amp table saw and skill saw? Lot of people would like to know, can you do a test? This model will max out the weight limit on planes. Thanks

  • Has anybody check to see how the Boliy Generator (3600 Watt) at a little over $1,000 compares with this Yamaha?

  • review it like you want to break it ~ not like & sell it!

  • @Begbucks I was just showing the features to my friend in OH. Go buy one and try to break it.

  • @w8zip Ok just kidding but a real load test would be nice lol

  • yamaha says they don't recommend running a skill saw on it but i'd like to know if anyone has any personal experience.

  • @redxjay not sure Red I use for camping not power tools

Sorry I can't be more help.

  • @w8zip ya, i think camping is what is was designed for. nice little unit. wish it has bit more power for a circ saw.

  • @redxjay - did you ever get an answer on this. I want to use it for small carpentry work too. This generator says it can handle 16+ amps. My miter saw uses 15amp but most are around or under 10amps. Shouldn't be any problem so I wonder why Yamaha doesn't recommend it. Especially for a skill saw? Where did you get that information? Thanks

  • @SteveK99Sub - I never found anyone who had used this with a circular saw. I've seen a vid with someone using one with one of the kipor models though. I contacted Yamaha direct for more info. Here is what they told me: "Although the saw is rated at 15 amps it probably requires 30 to 45 amps, with the blade, to start. EF2000iS has a max output of 16.6 amps and probably doesn't have the surge capacity to start the saw. Recommend the EF2400iSHC or EF2800i."

  • @redxjay - Thanks. I purchased the EF2000iS. What Yamaha is saying doesn't make sense. If the saw is rated at 15 amps then that should be the max it draws. If it pulled 30 to 45 amps it would blow the 15 amp house breaker which it doesn't. I liked the EF2400iSHC but the EF2000iS size and weight is what got my attention. This site says it can run a circular saw so shouldn't be a problem. Started on first pull

  • @SteveK99Sub - cool. let me know how it does with the circular saw test

  • Comment removed

  • will this thing run a 15amp circular saw?

  • Glad it could help you out.

  • thanks for the review, it was very helpful as I just ordered one of those and wondered about the actual size and noise.
