I love Cambodia, I love my people, and like you said, putting the blame is not the solution. However, we need to find the real root cause of the disease so that we could cure it. If people STOP hating, being greed or delusion, then guess what, no more corruption, the rich will help the poor, people love one another, and there'll be no more WAR, just PEACE and DEVELOPMENT..

If you are a Buddhist, at least you MUST abstain from Killing, Stealing, Lying, Sexual misconduct, and Drinking alcoholic beverages or abusing drug. KR leaders have claimed to be Buddhists, but they KILLED, they LIED. Almost all government leaders said they are Buddhists, but they CORRUPTED (=STEAL or even worse), they LIE, they involve in drug trafficking, etc. Majority of Cambodian people said they are Buddhists because they go to pagoda or temples, they pray to the Buddha or the Sangha. but

Until one day, when I came to do my grad study in the US and still see people suffering everyday, rich or poor. Why is that? I took a step back and try to find the answer, and nobody or religious leader could give me a satisfying answer, but the Buddha. Please keep in mind that even though almost all of Cambodians claim to be Buddhist, in reality not many, KR leaders included, understand about the True essence of the Dhamma, which in turn lead them to be more greedy, hatred, and delusion.
