  • Why'd you guys take a hammer to an L-series lens?

  • Great message.

what camera and model was used to film the video?

  • My science teacher had my class watch this video for physics. . .

  • @hplover226 Wow, I hope the class liked it! Thanks for letting us know, that makes it slightly more worth doing :). I enjoyed hearing that.

  • @2dphotography I definitely enjoyed the video and it was very inspiring.

  • How long did you spend on the whole project?

me and my friends would love to give a try with a more simple system

  • How much of the final video was actually one whole take? haha.

  • I'm a talented photographer who is just out of the state mental hospital. Can I have your job? I would even cut my right hand to work there! I tried to get out of the hospital at least 98 times so I know about persistence, and making tools from scratch!

    Great job BTW!

  • Wow, brilliant work! :) I love it, so genius!! Never saw anything like it.

  • This video was as interesting as the one it was about. Good job to y'all.

  • Try another 98 times... I like it.

  • i love see the proces..

  • If any of the CF Cards and Canon equipment need a good home. I'll promise them a good home.

  • an excellent exercise in envisioning something rather difficult, and demonstrating tenacity in achieving it.

  • What was the trip to the hospital because of??

  • @scottmarshall456 I (David) sliced the back of my right hand open pretty good. Enough to expose veins and tendons and such :(

  • @2dphotography At least you got to see how it actually works!

  • @2dphotography Ouch :( that sounds damn painful. Hopefully, it healed alright and your hands back to how it should be? and hey, looking at the video, I'd say it was worth it, it's a fantastic video, definitely one to be proud of :D

  • @2dphotography and by that, I meant the other video of the actual...well, you know what I mean :P

  • How much did it cost like for your time and everything because I'd say yous weren't working while making this video

  • @stephen1carberry Yep we were working hard the entire time in fact. In March work was so busy that not a single minute went into building this machine. Additionally the machine was largely built during spare time, late evenings and weekends. Only in the final month of construction did we begin to devote full-time work to this project. It was an enormous endeavor and a lot of personal time and energy went into it. :)

  • Looks like it was such hard work, worth it though, amazing video

  • I watched this hoping you would explain the Ipad Xray and the Mario jump.=(

  • So how many days did this take to create and succesfully film? (=

  • Can it really be ALL IN ONE SHOT? with no edits

  • That is:

    A: Amazing

    B: Depressing

    and C: amazingly depressing.

    -Strong Bad.

  • I would have rather seen the original video of the Machine continuously filmed on the 5D like this. Would have been more visually interesting. Still.. Kudos! Very impressive set up.

  • @sieepyhead thank you! We would have loved to shoot the video on a DSLR however with it being so complicated, we just didn't have the proper gear to handle focusing.

  • So cheesy.

  • is he british?

  • Well done~~~ How did you do the old man photo darkroom development part?

  • so amazing

  • I love it

  • Holy cow, how could you possibly even do all that. You, sir, are amazing.

  • god damnit how can you be soooo dumb and dislike this?

  • I say, good job!

  • Please, vote in my channel (Eurovision 2008-2011)! :)

  • you guys did an awesome job at this.

  • awesome project..love the final results... best rube goldberg ive ever seen !! but this video is too preachy... why is it making me feel bad because you did something so great.. and all ive done is fucked a couple of whores..

  • @ricky1oh1 ha ha, LOL!

  • What camera did you use to shoot it?

  • so many 64gb extreme cards

  • It was worth it wasnt it ? I guess you used a lot of money on just making the machine..Good thing u hve the equipments to make the machine ..

  • this is so offensive, and I am offended!

  • @fantstupe This is why your parents hate you and also why you have no friends.

  • Honda did this a couple years ago.... Commercial called "The Cog"

  • only one trip to the hospital!!!! :-)

  • FTW!!!!!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE Rube Goldberg "Machines"...YOU ROCK!

  • While many people are dying from hunger or wars in the world, people like you **uk their own ass to make such a waste video.

  • @fantstube and what are you doing? sitting on your ass hating on people that are just having fun?

  • @JackieTastic Your simple answer is "No", you just keep having your fun.

  • @fantstube you have no clue FEWL

  • @fantstube you are a waste....go save the world then...this guy is living his life and using his brain to impliment inspiration into his actions. You could apply your last comment to anything in life: you're eating while people are starving; you are going to a bar and drinking beer while people can't afforde water; you are having kids while children need homes; etc... you are watching this video from a computer you own that you could've sold and bought a starving person food with!!!! growup

  • @JohnJtheman1 thanks to you today I found out the meaning of using of brain!! Maybe my comment is some how excessive, but still I think the video is a waste. The creator of this video should utilize his ass for better works.
