I can't see how anyone could make a negative comment about this car--it's a work of art....and they rode beautifully. This car was not made for taking corners like a sports car, it's luxury at its finest.
I'm amazed that no one has corrected you sooner. GM was not the first to front wheel drive in the US. Miller and Cord are the most famous examples of American FWD vehicles, both from the 1920-30's.
Beautiful car and nicely done video. As it happens I've got a white /black '68 Eldo with a white vinyl top and a yellow '67 Toronado....what State do you live in ? That would be an interesting 4 car photo shoot...
That's a great car. I remember reading a Popular Mechanics road test on those and asking owners what they thought of the mileage. Quote "When asked what he thought of the fuel mileage one guy, a construction supervisor, said I don't know, I just fill it up once a day or so. Good job on the clip and nice music too.
My dad had a red '68 Eldo. Looked exactly like the '67 except for minor details like parking lamps built into the front fender peaks and a "halo" vinyl top. Very pretty car, but no big deal to drive -- just another big, wallowy American car with numb power steering, typical of its time.
The 67 eldorado drives nothing like the 68 and up. in fact customers complained so much so that they changed the suspension in 68. My 67 has no float of bounce. I drives very much like my 66 Toronado. I have a 68 Eldorado as well.
The sound is more like the Windows XP Installation music.. lol.. i get a bad feeling when I hear that.. COOL Car however. My dad was a caddy salesman in the 60's so I had to own a caddy Fleetwood Brogham as my first car :)
That's about to be my first car. Custom, all black.

Absolutely beautiful car from Cadillac, styling was wonderful, like a '64 Riviera. Timeless.

are you saying the 66 toro rides like the 67 or the 68 eldo
365degrees 3 years ago
@eldoguy66 Didn't these cars go through front tires all the time because something about the front-end design wasn't perfected?

Wonderfully elegant in every detail. Cadillac ought to have fitted a centre armrest to the rear seat, for maximum comfort.
