BT Apex Barrel Review & Information

ive looked on google for a longer apex 2 ready barrel and the only one i can find is a 8-12-14" i want a 18-22 inch barrel is there any way i can just buy a rifled barrel (for a a-5 tippmann) and then mod the barrel with simmple tools or tape? i saw a apex 1 mod on youtube but i can't tell if i could do the same thing with apex 2 (please reply)

it works incredibly well. With the strong winds we had yesterday, i was able to curve the paintballs into the wind for further distance. Only problem is now that its getting cold, the paintballs are shooting out, hitting the apex barrel but instead of spinning, they flat up break

Can anyone tell me if the bore size is .691 or larger? Want to fit one on my pro-lite but if the bore size is less than.691 the front bolt will stick! Tried to get information on it already but everyone says different bore sizes for the apex 2?!?!

@paintballtechpb I have a Tiberius t9.1 elite. I have the upgraded tiberius rail riser and adjuster so I can take shots around 300 feet. i also have and upgraded barrel that makes the gun so accurate so much that I can hit the target almost every time. Yesterday I realized that the apex barre tip could go on it. I am wanting to take 400 foot shots with the gun without first strike Would u recommend the apex tip for this type of gun. Or is there something better u know that can help more?

@Theunknownviolinist you cant go 400 yards with a nomal paintball first strikes are the only round that are stil effective at 200 yards plus. i would suggest if you want to shoot that far just get first strikes. Apexes only add about 30 yards to the effective range of your marker which makes the effective range around 180 yards. Tiberius t9.1 with fs has an effective range of 300 yards. first stikes are the best possible solution

Have you tried the apex 2? If so would you have to tilt the gun at less of an angle to get the same backspin? The reason I'm asking is because someone told me there is a longer rubber surface area which would provide more spin and less angle. I think...?

A5s with shrouds dont accept flatlines. that being said, apex would be the best alternative. I read somewhere that u can make the shot go straight (without leaving the barrel downwards) by putting clicking it 2 times. is this true?

@famous927 NO it will not if the dial isnt down it will not affect range. IT is a regular barrel when the dial isnt cranked. I got the apex and i like it it is great with range and the hook shots are cool. Especially for me since i really only play woodsball right now.

The barrel shoots .68

It's thinner, not smaller. The Alpha Black barrel is thicker so it seems bigger. The insides of the barrels are the same.

@littlebanger2411 i don't use the spin on the barrel at all to curve it sideways. i use the barrel for far distance and it's accuracy. Like in this video he said you can make the paint drop on people. it works really well

I used my Apex on on the ERC and i hit someone in the knee, of coarse they slid and wiped so I curved it around there bunker and wound up hitting them in the face mask. Wipe that, asshole.

@NFLDwoodsman i have a x7 phenom and have an apex barrel it works if you know how to adjust it properly it works well for playing in the woods bc its super durable and the look on ppls faces when ur curving balls around their bunkers is priceless! flatline barrels give you extra straight distance where the apex can go everywhich direction its up to you wat you wanna use the apex works great, hope this helps

This really works! Just bought won and was simpley amazed by the flat trajectory offered. I keep mine at a setting of 4 or 5 and works well. Not the most accurate, but I could easily hit a man sized target with 4 paintballs or less from about 40-45 yards away.

definately recommended. i have one and it shoots completely straight and it still goes farther that people who angle thier gun. you dont have to angle the gun if you set the dial to about half way. FLATLINE IS SHIT. i owned it before i got the apex and it shot some random direction at about 20 feet. also you cant clean it without taking the barrel off. i bought it when it was new for $80 and it was worth it. also hes right about the barrel bag. i was lucky and owned the bigger one already.

@SlayingMinion I like the Apex. You can adjust the spin or dial the Apex all the way forewords to get a flatline effect. Mike does a great job in explaining how it works. There are lots of videos here on Youtube to see both the Flatline and the Apex in action. The Apex takes a bit of practice to get it down. I've shot both and liked the Apex better.

@SJBKAirsoft well the flatline is loud, hard to clean, and it gives you more distance not accuracy really. The straightline gives you more accuracy if your willing to spend $150 for a barrel. The spin in my idea isn't really good for apex because unless you have the time to stop and change the setting on their barrel in a woodsball match.
