@badellinger no it really is not, you can hear the differance in any track or even just video on youtube from quality to quality...you CAN hear a differance, there is no ifs or buts about it, you can HEAR the differance in the way it comes out your speakers.

I actually rip audio from youtube all the time, if you want to argue then just do it yourself. Youtube does NOT stream anything more than 192kbps starting at their 480p quality setting. 192kbps is enough that you would need very expensive studio monitor speakers in order to hear the difference in lame mp3 format. I have very expensive studio headphones as well as a 1/4 inch analog output from my computer into a vocal mixer to my headphones. Tell me, what do you have?
