This is really not true animation. They just shot a certain comic`s every panel, added voices and moody music, and then moved the mouths to simulate speaking. The comic was Journey into Mystery.

Unfortunately, Marvel had no budget for this at the time (1966).

This is one of Thor's mightest battles, clearly the Destroyer is far more powerful than this Asgardian. However, Thor proves that brains can overtake the metal monster. I still get excited watching this cool video, even the voice actors are great choices. And the music is perfectly atmospheric. I hope some time in the future this story from the comics can be retold in live action.

The Destroyer the only creature that could destroy Thor and his hammer. He was taken by Galactus so he could use the

Destroyer's blasts as a energy boost.

Marvel needs to get their act together and stop selling out their rights to studios who make shitty movies with aweful directors and cast. (ie. Daredevil, Ghost rider, Hulk, Elektra)

Marvel is either hit or miss with these adaptions.....Spider Man, Blade,X-men so far have been credits to the crossover but when the fantastic four did galactus as a big red electrical storm i was sick........and nicolas cage should never be allowed to play any type of marvel hero

Actually I believe Marvel is toying with the idea. With a good story/casting and with some good cgi a Thor movie could be really REALLY cool,or really bad without those elements,it would take a pretty big budget to do it right. The Spider-man and X-Men movies were so good,but the Hulk and Daredevil movies were awful- hopefully it will happen and go in the positive direction.
