I like the video, but judging by how I can hear the engine over the exhaust, I would say you don't have true strait pipes though. I'm not complaining about the video or anything but for all of you people on here talking about whether or not strait pipes are illegal, they are but to have true strait pipes there has to be literally nothing but pipe coming from the manifold or headers all the way to where the pipe stops. @hosvius Turbo farts....that sounds like a legitimate term. What that sound actually is is compressor surge. It's when he is boosting a great deal of pressure and lets off the gas. There is still an abundance of pressure in his intake piping but the throttle has been closed. So the air travels backwards and hits the turbohousing and causes a great deal of turbulence against the compressor blades, causing that distinct noise. It means he's killing his turbo.

the powerstrokes have gone downhill since the 7.3 they don't sound as good anymore and they aren't as good for towing either, i get 13 mpg in my 7.3 hauling 9000 pounds and less than 8 hauling the same load in a 6.0, my foreman at my job has a 6.4 and gets 9mpg in the city unloaded because all the emissions shit.

The Duramax engine was designed by Isuzu and its manufactured by a company called DMAX out of Ohio. And yes the company was originally formed by Isuzu and GM. But GM took over full control of the DMAX brand back in 2002. So now its the duramax is owned and manufactured by GM. Hope this helps and good luck with the new truck.

yeah i love the whistle in a 6.0... the 7.3 has a beastly roar with straight pipe and cat delete... i love the 7.3 and 6.0's both great motors that sound great... the 6.4 is quiet from the factory but thats easily changeable.. lol i love the 6.4's mostly 0 turbo lag off the starts.. love the compound turbo set up they made for that motor...

Damn Straight! but honestly, your name is Chevy blows. My dad has a 2000 GMC Sierra with a 5.3l Vortec engine. great truck. not 1 major repair needed. just LOF and regular maintenence. also, 1 body panel replaced, no big deal. and when we were replacing the U-joints, we were putting the drive shaft back together and mis-aligned the key and we slammed it together with a tow strap. lol. minor repair there. so i have had no problems with GM (at least GMC, not sure about Chevy)

man i really don't have anything against Chevy.. i cant really, i've never had a Chevy or GMC. me and my father are both die hard Ford men. i have a 1994 Lincoln Towncar 4.6l, great car, my dad has a 1989 Ford Crown Vic, 5.0l with 150,000 miles and no major problems. the water pump was going bad so we replaced it but thats regular maitnance on a older car with that many miles. then we did the timing chain at the same time. (that wasnt bad) i just love Ford man. great cars,

I think with the 6.0 you got a deal or a dud ... and you cant do any engine mods for the reason it was already so hopped up from the factory it would blow the head gasket ... my fauther had one and never had a lick of problem.
