Thanks Mike. Yah this is one of my favorite videos. It came together pretty well. Conditions were real nice when we were diving. Last time I went up there is was rough, murky, and dark at the bottom. Luckily we brought our dive lights along and we got our limit.
canon sd550 with it's underwater case. Might be the lens size. Mine's got a nice wide angle which helps out when the vis is bad. I still would like a new camera with vibration reduction.
i have tons of videos on moat creek abalone dives, but as you can see the videos are fine out of the water, but not underwater... i used sony and minoltas. but i've heard olympus makes the best underwater camera.
Yep I went out for an extra solo dive with the goal of finding a 9 incher. Kinda hard to tell when you have a 7 inch gauge. But I grabbed a couple abs, breathed in some saltwater, finished coughing, and headed back to shore to find out I got my first 9 inch ab! Same one in the video.
Can't wait to get up there again and go hunting ab's again. It's a ton of fun!
I really enjoyed watching this quality video. You did a great job mixing your stills with the video clips and following a story line.

Yeah its a trip how big they look underwater lol. You'll spot one like, "Holy S#@! thats a MONSTER!" and when you guage it it'll be barely legal haha
I cant wait to get back out either. My last dive was a few weeks ago and Im already getting the itch bad again.
