hell yes restore those bikes they to be riden unlike the junk @ kmart for $200.00 omg what garbage i have a schwinn speedster aswell with 144 spoke rims on it and the springer fork and love this bike everybody compliments me on it everytime i take it out i also own a 1964 amf roadmaster with the license plate on the bike rack in the back i just restored :) my next project is a 1949 roadmaster i found on craigslist for $40.00

Pretty sweet bike! I have a 1967 Schwinn typhoon, that's very similar. And my new baby is a 2008 Schwinn SSX Cruiser, which is a reproduction of a 1955 Schwinn Cruiser. Enjoy your vintage baby, and happy riding!

I'm trying to find a vintage Schwinn 3-speed for cruising around the neighborhood and errands and stuff. I had one when I was a kid. In a time when BMX bikes ruled the playground I got made fun of a lot. I would always end the teasing by challenging them to a street race. I miss that old bike.

I just sold a 1967 Schwinn Racer on Craigslist for $65.00 that i bought at an elderly rummage for $20.00. All i did was clean up the rust on the chrome.
