  • É nada!

  • Nice job... How do you get 3d arcade to go fullscreen? Great video. It takes me back.

  • THESE FRONT END ARCADES ARE SHIT, IT DONT EVEN DISPLAY THE FUCKING GAME THAT U GOT, FAKE!

  • Damn that's awesome I tries to make one but whenever I try to play a game it just zooms in and out :(

  • @111random It does work, it took a few moments to figure it out. When you enter the program you have to specify which emulator you want to use for your roms, in my case my exe is Mameui 64. Also remember to create a Mame folder in your 3d Arcade emulators directory. You also have to point to where you roms are. Pm, me if you're still having difficulties. The Emulators directory doesnt exist by default. nor does the Mame folder. Move all of your Mame stuff into that new folder.

  • É nada!

  • All you retards who say this is fake are themselves fake. Fake brains and eyes. this is a MAME frontend. It actually exists, do a search on the net for it and quit trolling.

  • @retrocopy Ralph, why are you such a hater? Clearly you have a nice operation going at RC, and your audio effects are likely superior to 3DArcade, but you're comparing apples and oranges. Your stuff focuses on console emulators (and one small arcade system emulator) and the 3D interface to access them. The one arcade cabinet you show is a generic model. 3DArcade is a universal front-end for any emulator (including yours) with realistic cabinets. Neither is any more "fake" than the other.

  • @dkovar A hater? To me it is quite fake when the machines don't work properly and simply display cached animations and sounds, that is what my fake comment is about. To some people it matters. There are pros/cons to both though, as you said 3DArcade/MAME support a lot of different arcade systems and RetroCopy only supports three (Sega System 1+2 were added recently). There are new models and new systems being added all the time though, check my latest video to see.

  • @retrocopy Good response! I truly didn't wish to start trouble, and I agree that 3DArcade has certain, well, issues (old 3D engine, clunky DIY setup), not to mention using attract videos and canned audio instead of what I assume are sprites accessing the actual emulators in real time. I think your use of "real" and "fake" without that further explanation, and the fact that you've gone around to several of the 3DArcade videos posting what could be taken as confrontational language got me going.

  • @dkovar I guess it just depends on whether you associate the word "fake" as valid criticism or as an attack. One advantage to "faking" is you can have many more machines "appearing" to do something even though they aren't. I posted on some 3Darcade videos because the people interested in that will also be interested in RetroCopy and it's different take on things. I didn't mean to come across as it's perfect in every way.

  • mameworld (DOT) info / 3darcade

    zophar (DOT) net / frontends / mame / 3d-arcade (DOT)html

That was actually a pain to find with google. If anyone knows of other 3D Arcade sites, please let me know.

  • wow, that atmosphere was very nostalgic for me ; ;

  • It will take ages to find a game from there. =)

  • @Dhergham12345rules No it's not. It's a front end called 3DArcade for Mame. I don't think it's being developed anymore but it's still available.

  • @mynamesforest Well, the software hasn't changed recently, but people are still making cabinets, pinball tables and artwork for the front end, and the forum still has people who actively help with installation and such.

  • im considering getting this

  • Of COURSE it's fake! I should know, I was the one who faked it! The real arcade that this is based on has been gone for 15 years!

  • @dkovar it is not fake Its a MAME Frontend

  • @WickedGr Sorry, I should have used a sarcasm font. I'm just pointing out that the actual arcade in New York City is no longer around, but the 3darcade model still exists. And I would know that, as I was the one who modeled it for 3darcade (I go by "fossil" on that site.)

  • @dkovar douchebag ... its an app for MAME

  • @MrNiceHk OK, I don't know if I can be any more clear about this. The video posted above is indeed a capture from 3Darcade. The particular arcade environment SHOWN in the video is a recreation of an actual arcade that no longer exists, but once stood in Penn Station, in mid-town Manhattan in the 1970's through early 1990's. I would know that because I was the person who performed the 3D modeling of that arcade, and submitted it to the 3DArcade site for use with the application.

  • @dkovar apologies sarcasm does not communicate well over the internet ... nice job ... just getting into MAME ....happy happy days .. I can feel a new obsession coming on

  • OMFG! That's awesome!

  • Here's some advice Before getting this.

Get a BIG Hard Drive(500GB or 1TB) just for 3D Arcade

Make Backup CFG(Config) folder on a different Hard Drive(3D arcade is Soooo Easy to Break and it tends to have off days so be wary and wise)

Put ALL ROMS and Emulators in The correct Directories in the EMULATOR Folder

When You create a movie Playlist from Folder Contents in the configuration Menu.Bat, Remember to Copy the list to the Arcade Folder too(COPY, DON'T Drag n Drop.

    Happy FE

  • Put Cab Video's in the Dummys/Videos folder only.

All of the emulators need a little tweeking here and there to get working but You'll do it and with this one patience is a virtue.

IF You don't have patience don't bother, This requires dedication, Time and above all Patience.

We who have completed this Front End are Nostalgia Crackheads or Arcade Junkies, I am both, I get a high every time this is launched and Have a Nostalgia rush of the Arcade Days, Ahhh nice

  • If Any of You decide in getting this I warn You, YOU WILL LOVE TO HATE THIS after a time but What I will comment on is it's time WELL spent I assure You, I've spent over a year configuring this and there are still a few kinks that need ironing out, Mine is about 80-90% complete. Working: MAME Visual Pinball Fruit Machines All Consoles(except saturn + Dreamcast) Movie Screens(With Movies) Cab Video's Not Working: JukeBox Daphne I'll get around to them. 100% Pure Nostalgia
  • :D :)

  • OMG :O thats so so so cool!

  • just like the old days.... good times

  • COOL

  • siiiick. but ill get lost tryin to find the game i wanna play

  • wait does it already comes with the the roms or you need to download them?

  • would love this to work on my cab but keeps crashing

    athlon xp 1.6ghz 512mb ram,80gb hdd,geforce 6200 128mb xp home

  • man how do u make it work i just down loaded it today can u send me a file with the instructions to configure it

  • I had this up and running it is VERY VERY time consuming setting this up the way you want it.. but its very cool looking and a lot of fun if you have the time. You'll have to do a lot of reading and trial and error to get what you want with it.

  • yeah ur sooo rite thanx 4 ur help i could set it up a longgggg time ago hehe, now im having problems with visual pinball omfg dat one iv tried and tried to have it up but it just does not work, any tips?

  • Nice job on updating all the machine artwork

  • Looks too real!! :D Even has its own change machines too! Anyone got tokens?? (lol)

  • does anyone know of any website now that still offer downloadable files for 3d arcdae? I just recently got into this MAME stuff but every website I go to for files like cabinets and marqees havent been updated in like 4-6 years and the files are gone.

  • Awesome! At mall 4 floor wizard arcade. Nice!

  • chingonsisimo!!!

  • Fing Amazing!

  • would be awesome to walk around and hear arcade ambient noise too.. :)

  • Mate your 3darcade frontend is the best so far, its the only one i use :)

  • Please be aware, 3DArcade itself has nothing to do with roms or other copywriten software, and is simply a front end to be used with a variety of emulator programs, all of which are ALSO completely legal. The artwork incorporated into the models of the arcade cabinets and/or pinball machines is done so under the principles of fair use, and requests to remove any copywriten artwork BY THE COPYWRITE HOLDER will be honored fully nd completely. So there.

  • Thank you for the kind words. I created the 3d model of the arcade you see here, as an homage to a real video arcade that existed at Penn Station in NY from the late 70's through the early 90's. Besides being functional as a front end for other programs, 3DArcade helps to serve as a virtual museum for the golden age of video arcades and beyond. Yes, it has a learning curve, but is well worth the effort for the true fans.

  • This is fucking amazing!! I am going to download it now. I was watching "Arcade 84" and was thinking to myself, I wish someone would make a virtual arcade, and here it is. Awesome stuff, 5 stars *****

  • Were did you find the downloaded for 3d arcade ? i ben to the sight but.. i had nolook finding it. relly tight setup.

i got to get me that..

  • I have mameWah going on my cab, but 3dArcade was something I'd like to give a shot in the future. Is it easy to set up as far as dropping in cabinets to match up with your roms and all?

  • it may be a bugger to configure but we are all here to help

  • I think these would be really cool if they had animated screens to each one of them. I doubt the processor could do it without stutter with the number of different games shown at once.

  • They actually do have animated screens for each one available, with more being produced each day. But like you say, you probably need a beefy processor. I have an Core2Duo E6600 with an 8800 GTS and 4 gb of RAM, hopefully that is sufficient.

  • That would work with no problems! I was running a much slower pc and I had videos for over 100 arcade cabinets running fine.. it was a thing of beauty it. It almost looked like the arcade I went to as a teenager

  • If only this was EASY to do, I would have made a sort of American/Japanese arcade by now.

  • badass

  • dope

  • whoa not really practical but damn cool

  • awesome setup - I couldn't get it to work on mine and I think I`ve got too many games for this type of menu. Looks really good though

  • 3d arcade rocks! use this myself. Nice room setup!! I use damed dungeon but the people are pointless. Cool MK2 cabinet model, I havnt seen that one.
