@cashyoj As fair as your comment is, I'm 17, and realistically, most designers who are professional are over the age of at least 20, and I mean 'most', not all. So i'm only just catching up. Also, i've read books, but reading books doesn't make you a 'designer', yeah it can teach you, but I can't go watch 'holby city' and become a doctor. Don't take what I said as a rude reply, it was just my opinion, and thank you.

@Stratzeh Lol that idiot doesn't know what he is talking about. Rule of thirds is a primarily an element of photography, and color theory means about fuck all, because it is completely intuitive. The real elements in graphic design that are needed to be learned come through experience and exploring creativity. Maybe some typography lessons, but still. You don't need a book to be an artist. You are a better designer than some "professionals" I know. Cashyoj is feigning his "superior" knowledge.

@cashyoj Please tell me how rule of thirds is relevant in icon creation, please...All you had were two things on the top of your head that you associate with media design. Those aren't even tips. If I said to an aspiring doctor: "Brain Surgery" and "MCATS" that wouldn't mean anything. Listing terms that are almost irrelevant to some most designers don't classify as tips. I'm also saying what I think. Which is that you don't have a clue what "real" graphic design is.

The rule of thirds is primarily used in photography and the majority of the time completely irrelevant in graphic design. The color theory is varied and useless, because colors are completely intuitive to people. The theory is hardly effective in actual design. Your 'tips' were just b.s. you made up to sound smarter. That's all
