First, I would like to thank you for posting this video; this song is one of my all time favorites. I have been searching for months to find tab to this song that is not just the chords. (I am just beginning to teach myself to play and I am not good enough to play by ear or by watching your video, unfortunately). Do you happen to have any advice or know where I may find easy tab to this song that is not simply the chords? Thank you for any help you may provide.
I confess that this is one of those songs that i associate with john belushi smashing the guitar to pieces. But i was so wrong! I want to learn that opening riff - it's fantastic.
Thanks so much for doing this song. I have never been able to figure it out but now with your video, I should have in down in about an hour. It is a great melody and harmony by the two of them and the guitar part just sings right along with them.
Thanks for the time travel. My big sister brought this album home somewhere around 1965 - a wonderful period for music. I don't know if the times were necessarily more innocent, but the music certainly was.
I own a C&J interveiw floppy 45 rpm about 1/16 thickness of a 45., no i'm serious . A little bit more involved than a DEVO tune, I'm a DEVO fan, C&J is amongst a crap load of others too.
Can't beat real instruments and singing. Electronics, doesen't solve everytjhing.
@manfromregina I remember those floppy 45s. On our record player, you had to tape a quarter to them so the disc (actually, they were square) would have enough weight to actually stick to the turntable, otherwise you'd put the needle down and the record would stop spinning.
Great lesson! There are so many cool parts to this song: the melody, the into riff, the ascending chords at 0:52 and I love how they hit the F#m at "autumn leaves must fall." Much thanks! (PS: Have you been listening to the "Rushmore" soundtrack?)
my request would be something from steven stills ....such as pretty girl why...or hows bout 4 and 20...."I embrace the many coloured beast..."/watch?v=McLP2IRq4y0

Didn't Lennon/McCartney write this?
santacruzarian 3 months ago
@santacruzarian No, but it sure sounds like it. You're thinking of A World Without Love by Peter & Gordon, which Paul wrote.

@privettricker - that's right. I bet you can't make that one sound good!

@marslife01 Is this one really that obscure? I always thought of this as a fairly well known tune. No?

@sgoss53080 My advice is to pick the notes a little less staccato than I did it. Should really be smoother, more mellow than the way I've played it.
