@NeoTomoyakun Because the Maya's never said anything about the end of the world, only the end of an era. Also, most likely, the world would end in a couple of bilion years due to being swallowed by our sun. That is, if we don nuke ourselves to begin with.

We also got the Andromeda and Milky Way collision inbound in eh, 5ish billion years.

We are also hellbent on finding out more, so we might just re-create the Big Bang one day.

We might also get lucky and get a Black Hole near us.

There is also the theory about Dark Energy that is apperantly happening right now.

Oh, what about Nanotechnology and robots turning on us?
