  • @xxxblucoxxx Viking metal isn't so much a genre as it is a categorization, any metal band who's lyrics deal with Vikings could be considered "Viking Metal", although this rule usually doesn't apply for Black Metal. \m/ Stay metal.

    "Blot" is a ceremony for the old nordic gods

    "Vinter" = Winter

    Vinterblot is equal to todays christmas, just with the old gods, even the date is the same… actual the date of christmas was changed as part of tactics to persuade people ;)
