  • I could be wrong, but it appears to me that Ken made the bulk of his fortune not on trading commodities, but on his course and seminars. He did, in fact, find the the worlds greatest business...Sell a course and hold seminars for desperate people and make them think that they can get rich trading commodities, even though the research, which is very clear, shows that 95% of commodity traders LOSE money.

  • jarden69 . I appreciate your point of view. However it is not mine. I became a student of Ken Roberts about 12 years ago and I've learned some valuable lessons from him regarding trading. I continue to be a successful trader and I regret nothing of my experience with him and his company. Besides, what difference does it make where he made his money? He introduced a whole lot of people to a business that works, if you work at it. I honor Ken Roberts and the many contributions he has made.

  • @pianodad3

    Good points...you changed my mind.

  • I was living in Florida with my parents in the 90's when I received Ken's advertising booklet for his course on commodities. I didn't start doing anything with it, however, until I returned to New York in June of 1997. I should have kept up with it. I didn't stay focused on it and now I'm so rusty as to what I learned from it!

  • Thanks for all the nice comments --- I miss y'all too ! (But I'll be back --- soon ! Keep an eye on my old website . . . !)

  • Thanks for uploading this , I never did get the CD version on the VHS and my VHS is crappy. I am still involved with GBE and still making money after all of these years. Wow , I miss Ken.

  • Yeah I have looked for the DVDs on EBAY, but no deal. I will find them somewhere someday ;) we all miss ken. I lost interest when Jim Prince took over.

  • @orionmachine What happened to Ken Roberts?

  • Nice. Which video series is this from?

  • This is the get going seminar from the 10 years ago. I do not have any of his other stuff anymore, but I did have one of his round table things, and I was amazed to see Guy Finley in the audience. Very great guy.

  • This brings back memories! I love Ken, he's great. I have followed his courses since 97. Funny how "different" the video looks now. I've learned a lot since then too.

  • Yeah Ken is a great guy. I went to grants pass once and was going to meet him, but he was out of the office. I got a tour of the place though, pretty cool.

  • The long term fundamentals for commodities are fantastic.

  • Thanks for sharing this
