yes you have point there! in that case opponent gets a point( I have sad memories of that) some players try to get most speed to his throw but remember that speed is not all and att least when you shoot over....greets to former FIN-captain RP

The point here, is to show that we ultimate players do a lot of stuff with the Frisbee just for the heck of it. Mini-games like this are competitive and help to improve catching awkward disks with one hand. Plain and simple, disks are the best toy a man can own. Go out and have fun.

guts is a great game of frisbee in its own rights, and very old one. You don´t get this fast serves in Ultimate. The players that play guts seriously do only Guts..lets play whatever

pathetic, baseballs hit in high school games go about twice this fast. and baseballs are HARD, not squishy plastic.

you also stand farther away, and wear HUGE mits to catch. 100MPh ball at 60ft reaches home in .4 sec; a Guts frisbee disc at 46 ft to the other players takes .25sec to reach if throw at 139km/hr.

highest measured baseball-throw 160km/h not 276km/h...you have to have good reflexes here.

try someday? 14m distance and squishy-plastic disc 110g (sharper than a ball)comes towards you at 138km/h=38m/s=you have 0.36seconds to react

baseballs are hit with wooden clubs called "bats". they fly at 170mph.  convert to french units if you must. frisbee guts is the stupidest "sport" ever, makes curling look sophisticated.

during guts-worlds 2004 1 taiwanese player asked me:" why do you play guts?" it was difficult question:-#...(well we beat USA 2 times), otherwise Japan and Taiwan were best though

Dunno about situation of guts in Finland? there are 2 organisations SLKL and SFL if there were interest of getting up a good team cooperation is needed
