@MrIFHI Thank You! I'm not being rude but "desing" is spelled "design". Just want to help! I can only speak English and haven't been able to learn much past a little Spanish. Have you seen the new model? if not take a look at the latest.
@FlyingCircusFPV Ailevons for a fling wing then mix throttle into the two next the rear motor was ch.7 with throttle mixed in so i could have that shut down as the front rotate forward but to make it easier and give control to the real ailevons i needed ch.7 because the rudder control becomes the aileron control and they are opposite when moved 45 degreesas a heli left yaw is left as airplane left yaw is right roll! so now the rear motor rotates like the rest and ch.7 is used to swiitch directn
Ah, I'm starting to get it. So the rear motor doesn't react to elevator control at all, it just responds to throttle control only? If that's the case, how are the gyros oriented and how are they connected to stabilize pitch and roll?
@FlyingCircusFPV ran out of letters and had to go back to work! the back motor is mixed with elevator also but you don't have to just gives more control. I use 4 gyros one for each motor and one for yaw. There is a diagram i made for my hitec eclipse 7 but it tells other set up stuff to like motors and RX connections.
in the description of this video there is a link to my photobucket page and there is a hand drawn picture with the set up on it take a look!
@eitanoiman The three motors have there own channels, that is the balance (pitch and roll), the moving of the motors produces yaw in hover mode and roll in forward flight mode plus moves them 45 degrees for transition. the rear motor shuts down at the angle rate of the front two moving into FF. and I have not flown in in FF mode that step is huge and I'm close but need a little more to work .
@MegaFondue You are awesome! the pyroplane is pretty cool I think that is illegal here in the states, just to build. when I was younger I made a bottle rocket gun with 4 D batteries and a regular on off switch trigger the frame was copper pipe with an elbow on it and batteries below the barrel. just point and shoot using a rockets igniter in place of the wick. that plane reminded me of that.
@bluefisherking No haven't tried FF yet just got the hover to work in my living room then went out to make this video. plus the two hs-55 for ailevons are not installed yet because this is not the final frame.
Interesting design :-) I'm buidling a tricopter myself.. and in case any of the motors shut down it would be cool if the whole thing could float down as a sailplane etc. Good luck with the testing!
@Erbalite Thanks.. I might ask a question if/when I'm stuck. For the frame I'm using 40mm plastic pipes. This way I will be able to hide all cables and electronics. and they're also very crash resistant I think. I'm currently waiting for Hextronic DT750 motors from hobbyking (ordered probably 1 month ago)... Unfortunately theyr're out of stock at the moment. I will put a video on youtube when all electronics is installed.
@gamleolga 40mm plastic! I fear this may be to heavy, The frame that I'm making now from wood has a weight of 60 grams. glued and all will be covered with film. hope its all going to be 1200 grams. this one in the video is 1650 grams!!! sitting on 150 gram coroplast tri folded frame !!well crash resistant and tricopter don't go together so just make it light and able to handle flight stress twists. It all adds up fast. make it lite from the start for best performance.
@Erbalite I just checked the weight of the frame right now. It's 700grams including the box where I will put gyros etc. Each arm is approx. 75cm long and painted in blue metallic ;-) I can always drill holes in the pipes for weightreduction, but I hope I don't need to. If my calculations are correct I hope to end up on around 2kg including a camera, battery, gyros, motors, cables,rx etc.. Each motor should have a thrust of 1kg so I should be under the limit. But I will just have to see :-)
@gamleolga At least you want a 2:1 thrust ratio because when you fall or maneuver the tri will build in weight or it will to the motors because of inertia ;)
the longer the booms the more it will tend to slide rather than bank or roll.
maybe cut them shorter rather than drill holes but that would be good for the ESCs, how about both! What size battery? did you see the way I put three deans clips together in the pictures on photobucket ? if not see channel link! 2010
@wildhover Thanks! my heli skills are still infant in nature but battlefield bad company for PS3 is helping out with that ! General Erbalite of the Pterodactyl Squadron .
Nice taste in music. If you get wind underneath does it lift alot?
Cheers!

Hi,
I've been trying to make some sense of the controls you're using. Are you using CCPM mixing for hover mode, or using all programmable mixes?
Also, how is shutting down the rear motor for FF handled on the radio?
Thanks.

Thats a realy special design.
Can you explain about the steering. Does the control based on moving the motors only or do you have a power control for each motor as well ?
Did you fly it as an airplane all the way allready?
