Audi designeras have to be proud of themselves, the best of his class.and yes, audi interior is better than bmw's. but still, audi have to improve a4 just because mercedes c180 and new 320 are apperaently succesfull, and a4 is poor compared with'em. also, they shud redesign the q7 to be able to kick x6's ass xD i mean in SUV class, there is a bmw domination, audi have to improveq5 and q7, just their exterior, they are not so cool. exactly compared to x3 and x6m

BMW's interior's dont even come CLOSE to the Audi. And iDrive is shit compared to the MMI on the Audi. The A8 is a better car in almost every aspect.

You make a good point - being that the car is aluminum - the only downside to AWD is erased. Love everything about this car - except for the front face... it just doesn't look as good as the smaller Audi's - or as classy as the Jaguar XJ or Merc S-Class. That aside - performance and fuel efficiency will improve even more when the 4.0T with cylinder de-activation finally gets utilized.

the audi A8 is great, i configuratet my own audi a8 on the audi website and i startet at a pricetag of 120000 and ended at 278000 all the options cost a lot of money but deam its a beautiful car.. inside and out... i want one myself but yes.. i dont have so much money.. i hope this year i win the lotto!

Audi really understands what luxury motoring is all about. Love the fact this car is all aluminum. BMW and MB think their badge is the only thing they need. BMW's are all very dynamic, but FAR too tech-oriented with an endless array of buttons, settings, modes, and acronyms. You could spend an hour choosing all your settings before you even drive, and they're really NOT luxurious at all. MB, powerful, but overpriced and even uglier interiors.

I drove both audi and my friends bmw. Handling is totally a preference because we were driving lines on a windy road and the audi had the "feel of the road". The audi was a different character on many roads with the slightest differences (cracks etc). Now the bmw, when I drove, had sport tuned suspension which absorbed EVERYTHING.

Handling is up to the driver if he decides to yank the wheel out of the way before he smashes into a tree.

I love this car. I love how the V8 has ample power and torque while remaining incredibly smooth and in terms of efficiency, on par with the S class and LS HYBRIDS; I love that the interior matches the price tag as far as quality and looks; I love the way it looks on the outside; and I love how it's perfect for winter weather as well.

i think family saloons like this are best made with diesel ... even though this is a V8, i think a diesel would do better as alternative fuel is now in demand.. why not? there is an Audi R8 with a V12 diesel and thats a supercar ... plus, Audi has produce some really outstanding clean diesel engines ... btw, this A8 is marvelous .. have a nice day people :)

I'm amazed that the largest of Audi sedans w/ a V8 gets 27 Hwy MPG's! With that being the case, I wish they would have kept the V8 in the S4 since it's current configuration gets only 1 mpg more w/ a 6 cyl. Not to mention it would be even better if they would bring back the RS4 with the current updates that would offer improved fuel economy.
