sorry, nope. check out libba bray's (the author) blog. she mentions how it was supposed to become a movie but it took too long so the project was cancelled, at least for that director. the possibility of the project could be bought again and it may become into the movie.

and I love the ending of the third book, it's the whole reason this series is my favorite over Twilight and Harry Potter. The ending of your video is definetly a dream sequence to me, after Gemma left for America, but everything is beautifully put together.

i didnt like the cast but who cares!! your video was the coolest video i've seen for the series. i loved the music too. it made it kinda rock and rollish, like Marie Antoinette with kirsten dunst. and i love the ending. its alot better than the original ending in the book. THUMBS UP!!! :D
i didnt like the music much though, sorry. i think the lady in um...lagan is really pretty and makes agood gemma but shes kinda too old...in some parts of the video, the kartik actor looks like ben barnes! but it was awesome, but instead of the music, i would have put some piano classical or some violin syphony or something.
It's supposed to be from Kartik's point of view. Therefore it was perfect for my objective, a strong, hard-edged masculine song with lyrics that allude to the plot instead of the same weepy songs that everyone uses. Each of my videos strives to be different and unique in its own way - different types of music, actors, and period films. Three Days Grace is one of my favorite bands. I love this song and aside from my Felicity one, it's the best video I've done. Because its different.

RHW gets a bit overused and she's much younger so it takes a little while to adjust to the idea of Anna as Gemma, since she looks so different than what you're used to. But thats what makes it fun!

This is probably one of my favorites out of all the videos I've made. I've never seen Big Fish but the guy's name is Billy Crudup not to be confused with Prince Caspian's Ben Barnes. The girl's name is Anna Friel and I first discovered her several months ago when watching Our Mutual Friend. She is EXACTLY as I envision Gemma-perfect for the role if she was a bit younger. It was an ambitious undertaking combining two completely different genre films but I'm glad the end result is convincing.
Oh, Big Fish is amazing, and that's him alright :) I KNEW I recognized her! She's from Pushing Daisies. Now I'm disappointed because just as soon as I started realizing how perfect she is for Gemma I also realized she's much too old to play her now :( I haven't seen your other videos to compare this one to but I think I'll go watch them! :)

I agree...there was a type of chemistry between Gwendolen and Daniel. Daniel only married Mirah after discoering his heritage, and it seemed like it was...forced, in a way. I liked Bella--a good girl originally, but because of her poorness, she "wants money, dreadfully." Her greed is understandable, and yet she was a bit spoiled.
Bleak House with Gillan Anderson and Anna Maxwell Martin was fantastic. Gillan Anderson manages to convey a sense of...
Anna Karenina...that's a sad story, especially when she commits suicide, or when everything seems to go wrong. Poor everyone... Tolstoy's a good writer.
Northanger Abbey (the old one), I felt it was a bit too melodramatic, while the new one was pretty good, and it's clearer on what happened to Catherine and Co. I have no idea what Wives and Daughters is about, but I'll read it! (Yes, I'm an English (or any type) literature fan, and I'm proud of it!)
I can't comment on many of the books since I haven't read all of them (except NA which wasn't one of Austen's best works but it was one of her first, and its more of a light-hearted read). But I thought DD was a beautiful miniseries - I've watched it several times and I rather wish he had ended up with Gwen. Mirah was alright but I thought she and Daniel had more of a brother-sister type relationship and when they ended up together it seemed cliched - like he felt obliged to be with her upon
...discovering his paternity. Too ironic for my liking but at least poor Gwendolen ends up freed from that miserable Grandcourt. Anna Friel's character (Bella) was my favorite in OMF and if she were a bit younger she would honestly be EXACTLY as I envision Gemma, which was a nice suprise for me. As for Wives and Daughters its a sweet story about Molly Gibson, a country doctor's daughter who falls in love with a neighborhood squire and what happens when her father remarries and a stepsister

Almost as pitiful as the ironically named "House of Mirth" with Gillian Anderson, although at least the acting in AK with solid. I'm no critic but the acting in HoM was pretty horrendous which only seemed to exaccerbate the pain of a rather miserable plot.
I saw Daniel Deronda, and the acting was pretty good, although I felt Mirah and Daniel were a bit flat. I mean, I cared for Gwendolen just because they gave the most insight into her character. Our Mutual Friend...I love the scene where Mr. Boffin is screaming, "Quack says the duck! Meow says the cat! Bow-wow says the dog!" and everone's looking at him weirdly. I saw Northanger Abbey as well, but I'm sorry to say I haven't seen Wives and Daughters and Anna Karenina (which I've read, not seen).
To clarify things, Billy Crudup isn't Prince Caspian. I checked. I saw Prince Caspian, and although they look pretty darn similar, they aren't. Ben Barnes plays Prince Caspian.

Yes, I make it a habit of seeing all the films that I use in my videos in order to be able to truly promote them in their original context. I can recommend Daniel Deronda, Our Mutual Friend, Wives and Daughters, Northanger Abbey and Anna Karenina as lesser known films and miniseries that not everyone has heard of but I think deserve a viewing for their own merit.
They are two different pieces - a miniseries and a film. The film that the guy is in is Stage Beauty. I've never seen Prince Caspian (or whatever the movie title is) so I couldn't tell you. His name is Billy Crudup though, if that helps...

Ironically, I think that Anna Friel (red-head) is a beautiful woman and if she were MUCH younger at this time, she would look exactly like I envisioned Gemma, more accurate to the cover corset model on the cover of AGATB and much more authentic than RHW (who I notice has become a bit overused since I made my first Gemma video). People who use Perfume tend to use Ben Whishaw as Kartik and while neither of the men are Indian, I personally find Billy Crudup so much more attractive.

that happened to me too! i cried SO hard at the part AFTER he died for all the same reasons as you. i am glad she won't write and epilogue or another book that says something like she moved on. i just want her to be with kartik forever. i am such a romantic book sap! LOL

and I love the ending of the third book, it's the whole reason this series is my favorite over Twilight and Harry Potter. The ending of your video is definetly a dream sequence to me, after Gemma left for America, but everything is beautifully put together.

this video was simple the best out of them for this series. and this series was ( to me ) better than anything twilight. i loved it and excellent choice of music, i am a huge three days grace fan !

i didnt like the cast but who cares!! your video was the coolest video i've seen for the series. i loved the music too. it made it kinda rock and rollish, like Marie Antoinette with kirsten dunst. and i love the ending. its alot better than the original ending in the book. THUMBS UP!!! :D

i didnt like the music much though, sorry. i think the lady in um...lagan is really pretty and makes agood gemma but shes kinda too old...in some parts of the video, the kartik actor looks like ben barnes! but it was awesome, but instead of the music, i would have put some piano classical or some violin syphony or something.

It's supposed to be from Kartik's point of view. Therefore it was perfect for my objective, a strong, hard-edged masculine song with lyrics that allude to the plot instead of the same weepy songs that everyone uses. Each of my videos strives to be different and unique in its own way - different types of music, actors, and period films. Three Days Grace is one of my favorite bands. I love this song and aside from my Felicity one, it's the best video I've done. Because its different.

Yes, I know what you mean.
RHW gets a bit overused and she's much younger so it takes a little while to adjust to the idea of Anna as Gemma, since she looks so different than what you're used to. But thats what makes it fun!
I think Billy Crudup is *ahem* fricken gorgeous! *ahem* but of course I am expecting Kartik to be Indian as he should be. I only get frustrated (all cap first sentence) when people seem to think that I don't know K is Indian or am in favor of a white boy playing him.

This is probably one of my favorites out of all the videos I've made. I've never seen Big Fish but the guy's name is Billy Crudup not to be confused with Prince Caspian's Ben Barnes. The girl's name is Anna Friel and I first discovered her several months ago when watching Our Mutual Friend. She is EXACTLY as I envision Gemma-perfect for the role if she was a bit younger. It was an ambitious undertaking combining two completely different genre films but I'm glad the end result is convincing.

Oh, Big Fish is amazing, and that's him alright :) I KNEW I recognized her! She's from Pushing Daisies. Now I'm disappointed because just as soon as I started realizing how perfect she is for Gemma I also realized she's much too old to play her now :( I haven't seen your other videos to compare this one to but I think I'll go watch them! :)

I agree...there was a type of chemistry between Gwendolen and Daniel. Daniel only married Mirah after discoering his heritage, and it seemed like it was...forced, in a way. I liked Bella--a good girl originally, but because of her poorness, she "wants money, dreadfully." Her greed is understandable, and yet she was a bit spoiled.

Northanger Abbey (the old one), I felt it was a bit too melodramatic, while the new one was pretty good, and it's clearer on what happened to Catherine and Co. I have no idea what Wives and Daughters is about, but I'll read it! (Yes, I'm an English (or any type) literature fan, and I'm proud of it!)

I can't comment on many of the books since I haven't read all of them (except NA which wasn't one of Austen's best works but it was one of her first, and its more of a light-hearted read). But I thought DD was a beautiful miniseries - I've watched it several times and I rather wish he had ended up with Gwen. Mirah was alright but I thought she and Daniel had more of a brother-sister type relationship and when they ended up together it seemed cliched - like he felt obliged to be with her upon

I saw Daniel Deronda, and the acting was pretty good, although I felt Mirah and Daniel were a bit flat. I mean, I cared for Gwendolen just because they gave the most insight into her character. Our Mutual Friend...I love the scene where Mr. Boffin is screaming, "Quack says the duck! Meow says the cat! Bow-wow says the dog!" and everone's looking at him weirdly. I saw Northanger Abbey as well, but I'm sorry to say I haven't seen Wives and Daughters and Anna Karenina (which I've read, not seen).

To clarify things, Billy Crudup isn't Prince Caspian. I checked. I saw Prince Caspian, and although they look pretty darn similar, they aren't. Ben Barnes plays Prince Caspian.
Oh, and do watch Our Mutual Friend! It's a good story, and Gemini12590, you are right about her looking like Gemma. Have you seen Our Mutual Friend? Okay, I'll stop rambling.

Yes, I make it a habit of seeing all the films that I use in my videos in order to be able to truly promote them in their original context. I can recommend Daniel Deronda, Our Mutual Friend, Wives and Daughters, Northanger Abbey and Anna Karenina as lesser known films and miniseries that not everyone has heard of but I think deserve a viewing for their own merit.

They are two different pieces - a miniseries and a film. The film that the guy is in is Stage Beauty. I've never seen Prince Caspian (or whatever the movie title is) so I couldn't tell you. His name is Billy Crudup though, if that helps...

Ironically, I think that Anna Friel (red-head) is a beautiful woman and if she were MUCH younger at this time, she would look exactly like I envisioned Gemma, more accurate to the cover corset model on the cover of AGATB and much more authentic than RHW (who I notice has become a bit overused since I made my first Gemma video). People who use Perfume tend to use Ben Whishaw as Kartik and while neither of the men are Indian, I personally find Billy Crudup so much more attractive.

I tried looking through the comments to figure it out but after i read all 93 of them i just couldn't come to a conclution. your interpretation of the charicters was very close to my own, you did an amazing job. My info's not usually the size of a thesis, but in this instance I needed to reinforce the spoiler warnings and ward off complaints about Kartik not being Indian or not being hot enough.
