Amazing, you know, not too many people (other than equestria online an various other game devs) are making these revolutionary pony game. I, as well as many others, hope to see this turn from a free roam, to a game with actual characters, and stories even. There's a lot of potential in this. I'd really like a FlyFF-alike system. Newcomers start as blank flanks, and you can 'specialize' into any given skill, eventually getting a cutie mark (sort of a class system, famous in MMOs).

As for pony creation, you would be able to choose between being a Pony, Unicorn, or Pegasus, with stat bonuses for each (like racial bonuses in MMOs). You would choose a “specialty” that dictates what your Pony is particularly good at. Then you create what your character looks like, the mane, hair color, cutie mark. Characters from the chow would populate the world as NPCs with quests for you to perform.

A variation on that would be if Pegasi and Unicorns/Ponies start out at different zones. Naturally, Pegasi would get Cloudsdale exclusively to themselves. Perhaps they could start out there.

There would also be Dungeons, such as Dragon Mountain (Episode 7) and the Diamond Dog Caves (Episode 19). There could be holiday events such as the Winter Wrap Up Festival. The Running of the Leaves, the Grand Galloping Gala, stuff like that.

Obviously, the quest hubs where you spend most of your time are common landmarks in Equestria. Perhaps the “newbie” zone (where everybody starts out) would be Ponyville. Perform quests there and gain experience (perhaps call them Cutie Mark Points? CMP instead of XP?), until Princess Celestia “takes notice” of your abilities and sends you to the Everfree Forest, which has more combat and less gathering. Then you go to Canterlot.

As for quests, they would follow along the lines of jobs in towns, such as gathering Apples for Applejack, or searching out ingrediants for Zecora. Quest rewards could include Applepies (replenishes health and provides temporary stat bonuses) and perhaps equipment (“Rainbow Bridle” increases flight speed and agility).

The game would have a couple main things to do. There would be combat, in some form or another. People could perhaps level up fighting monsters and going on quests similar to most MMOs, with obvious pony themes driving the combat. Kicks, stomps, charges, that sort of thing, including magical and aerial attacks if you are a Unicorn or a Pegasus.

I would love for this to be a game. But the question is, how would you wrap fun gameplay around this universe. It seems that everyone would like an MMO, which makes sense, since the show is mainly based around interactions between the ponies. However, what would be the point of the game? Would there be combat? Exploration? Every good, entertaining game needs some kind of conflict, a purpose to play, some goal to push towards. i have a couple ideas, they're probably not the best.

This looks good. the 3d models are spot on, little player clipping(but that's expected), walking animations are smooth, Rainbow Dash's mane looks a little out of place thar, Flying animations are smooth and speed isn't too fast, and the Rainbow trail... could that possibly be a small trail(40-50% smaller) than grow into the trail it is keeping it in the same position?

Clouds look shit.

The ponies' hair clips through their bodies, but I'm sure you've noticed that.

The world is pretty bad too... but I don't think you were concentrating on that for some reason.

Rainbow Dash's rainbow needs be way less transparent.

Finally, and I'm not sure if this is the render or your computer, but there's some pretty severe artifacting at some points of the video - yellow crap everywhere.
