@krb944 Uhm, near the middle of the movie when they were in the boat. That dude was talking about the legend/myth of a mermaid choosing a man to kiss underwater that would let them breathe underwater.... So thats why when she kissed him she pulled him into the water with her. How he was healed I have no idea...

If you think about it...since there are only really female mermaids they have to reproduce and thats why they are drawn to the men.

But pretty much she saved him.

Really the best love story that I ve ever seen, because its too much unusual, mermaids one of the most agressive creatures of Earth and Syrena is so different, so timid, so inofensive, and all pirate when she become human form started to look at her pervertly, but there was Philip beind them, that helps her giving her shirt so that she do not be naked, and Blackbeard almost kill both just to get 1 tear, and Syrena almost gets burn but get rescued by Philip. Obviously that even me got emotional.

Hey people! I was asking myself what happened at the end. I don't remember what happens when a man kisses/is kissed by a mermaid. So....what happened to phillip? Did he die? Has he become a merman? I didn't quite understand their last scene.

@LittleRainPearl I think it said somewhere that her kiss would heal him and able him to breath underwater, so they swam from that pool and away to freedom. At least that's my guess. Sort of like "Splash"! LOL! ;)
