That was in Alberta Canada, and it was pretty cold. Then again, this video is the first in a series of a trip all the way to the Arctic Circle, so it got a lot colder. :)
check out magnum radios,,, blow away galaxies... was running a dx11b for my base, now running a magnum s980 with a 35 amp power supply.... way better signal... 4-10
i used to live in manitowoc county a half mile from I-43,,, had a base station,,, I know those voices from the past LMAO very strange video to share,,, like who gives a rats ass about listening to them.... rediculous indeed hahaha
This video is one of about 30 or so that document a trip from Southern California to the Arctic Circle and we were putting them online each night as we traveled. In retrospect, some of them are pretty strange, but I remember listening to that conversation for 15 minutes and being completely entertained. :)
I run this road on a regular basis going to BC from our yards in Edmonton/Nisku hauliing drill pipe and casing to the rigs

How did that Galaxy DX919 radio work out for you on trip? It sounds very good.

It was a great radio. Very clear and easy to use. The built in SWR meter is also nice.
I used a Wilson magnetic antenna and must of lucked out, as with no tuning I had an < 1 SWR on both channels 1 and 40.
