That team was pathetic, classless, and a disgrace to basketball. They only got that NC because of the refs. They did not deserve to even make it to the Elite Eight. The refs gave them their wins over Butler and Oregon. It was pathetic watching this team brag about their close wins when they had 30 more free throw attempts. Oregon was far better than this pathetic team and far more deserving of the NC. 2006-2007 basketball: Oregon>Florida.

Uhh college basketball seasons are referred to by the year of the tournament, and UF won the 2006 title by beating South Alabama, UW Milwaukee, Georgetown, Villanova, George Mason and UCLA.

The Butler and Oregon games were in the 2007 tournament.

Butler played well but wasn't big enough to play UF in the post without hacking.

UF controlled the Oregon game from the 10 min mark of the 2nd half.

Not sure how they were "handed" anything. More athletic teams often shoot more FT's. That's that.

you're right. It was the 2007 tournament. But in no way is Florida more athletic. Oregon's lineup considered of Tajuan Porter, 5 foot 6 speedster, Aaron Brooks, who no one could guard, Bryce Taylor, very athletic and fast gaurd, Malik Hairston, who's natural position is guard but due to Oregon's small lineup played forward. And Center Maarty Leunen who is more athletic thatn both Noah and Humphrey. He was playing Small Forward in the NBA. So don't say Florida was more athletic, that's garbage.

Speights Noah Bewer Hortford and Richards are all in the Nba producing three of them starting. That's from the front court. Their guards were serviceable. How are you going to run when your getting dominated on the boards and in the paint. Unc doesn't have anybody on their team to deal with Speights Horford or Noah while their in College. Noah played the 07 season with a shoulder injury that required surgery at the end of the season and Speights was just a freshman. Horford forget about and Brewer nobody on Unc could handle him. I forget Richards coming off the bench as a senior.

Ed Davis is Stronger and 1o times more talented than any of them as a freshman......Hansbrough wouldnt score much but plays very physical D, Brewer, solid Hortford ok, but Noah nis weak, tall and thin, and his game is tired, and Speights....maybe he will develop, but 07, as a frosh.....not scary what so ever....your big men couldnt have controled the game....to slow the game down into a half court comes from guard play...and there is NO WAY your guards hold the first line....too much talent

Hortford Noah Brewer and Green ran through the Sec tournament and then on to the Ncaa. They crushed times on that 9game stretch! They were all sophomores. Then came back when everybody was targeting them and did it again 07.
