  • your robot inspired me during my FLL competition in Malaysia. I like the design tht your motor is right on top of the threds. saves space alot. Hope to see you doing 4 the next FLL competition :D i herd tht the next 1 is going to be like a treasure hunt. so be prepared. gud luck ;)

  • I just watch a video where the team did complete it in just over a minute.

    LoudMouths in 67 seconds.

  • I noticed that there were about 30 seconds altogether where the robot seemed to just be sitting there, not sure what it was doing, but if taken out, then the robot could complete all the missions in just over a minute! Awesome job you guys, very fast robot.

  • wow! we're trying to make an easy replacement tools too, probably it will be worse than yours... It's the first time for us in FLL so we don't expect much...

  • it looked to me like more than 3 motors were used..my teacher told me the max number of motors used can be 3?

  • There are only three.

    As I can see it has 1 light sensor, 2 touch sensors, 3 motors.

    I don´t know how advanced your team is but our team drives 3 arms with 1 motor.

    Like this team, they built a very compact good robot.

  • The people don't count because we had the same mistake also we just randomly put them in a box in weird positions but they have to be completely upright or completely sitting down so u guys only got 355!

  • its actualy 365 because each upright wall needs a down access marker

  • @ojman222 I don't think that they were following the line. I think they were just driving until the touched it, turning, driving until they touched it again, and so on.

  • @robodream Just a point, in real, it's 10 pts less. There wasn't 400 as a maximum - 390 insted that.

    It's inpossible to follow the line like that because the light sensor doesn't sense a line that fast, it just rides over it.

    It's also weird that when in base there's this sound and it's not there when driving.

    Speeded up I say.

  • Ask one of the over 400 people who have seen this robot in the west Germany final and the central european final yesterday.

    We are team Bohlebots, reaching 400 Points in the european contest three times, missing one loop in the semifinal and reaching third place in the robotgame.

  • Probably it is harder to sense a line with the NXT-software, but it is no problem with Robolab 2.9.

    The sound you hear is a control signal the robot gives to show its waiting for a push on one of the touchsensors on its back. The nxt is upsite down so we cannot read the display. We designed an accustic way of telling us the state of the program. During the run it is not waiting for a push, so we don't hear that sound.

    However, asking how we did it is politer than accusing us to fake videos!

  • Ya um dat isnt 400 points. cause u missed one of those green things which means you dont get points for a sensor wall either. so u actually got like 365 points. your still pretty good though.

  • im on the robotics team in virginia and we are goin to state. our boys team has 350 points so u better watch out! :)

  • not great year you are getting 400 but there is no creativity in that robot or the constructions sorry but not impressed. When the scandinavic final is over then i will publish our robot then you can see creativity and a robot that can do 400 points in only two programs and under 1:30 minutes

  • Das ist voll der Fake , weil er fährt viel zu schnell für diese größe und weil des video geschnitten ist. (Brückendurchfahrt) Stütze des Brüchenseitenteils klappt nach ausen obwohl er in die andere richtung fährt.

  • hi unser team fährt auch unter der brücke her und wir haben das auch dass das nach aussen geht weil der roboter von der höhe so gerade unter der brücke herpasst.

    erinnere dich an hebelgesetze im physikunterricht und du siehst das das kein fake ist.

    die lösung für die geschwindigkeit heißt übrigens getriebe. erinnere dich an ein fahrrad oder ein auto. da gibt es sowas auch

  • It's not a great idea to reveal your robot publicly on the internet before the provincial/state tournament. Someone might just steal your 400-point ideas.

    But, I still appreciate a job well done. Good work, guys.

  • 375, you are right, I didn't notice we missed the last access marker on the video. You can imagine we normally do it.

    We follow the line with one light sensor on the "inside" of the bend. Outside motor running all the time, inside motor full powerlevel when seeing white, backwards 20% powerlevel when seeing black. We get the speed by putting the big gearwheel on the NXT Servomotor and the medium gearwheel on the chain shaft.

  • Also, how do you get the robot to follow the black line so smoothly.
