  • It is not real 16:9, it's between 16:9 and 16:10.

  • LOL who would buy this shit. might as well save up a bit longer and go for people who can actually make legit devices, like Apple.

  • This is showing the sameold problems with every android device... Price MEANS something. I would buy an Ipad or Iphone if I had the money. I own an android phone though, and I am not satisfied at all

  • The tablet has excel?

  • BATTERY IS 1100maH, that is outrageous !

    galaxy tab has 4500mah

  • @esthermee I have bought a similar tablet from crvc11 . ecrater . com

  • Just have a good size (screen), all the rest is nothing special...

  • is this the so called handibook?

  • no android market no fun

  • No Apple xXFan8oiiXx, but.......

  • No Android Market Place?? :/ I'm out of here...

  • fuck i want a tablet but theres sooo many and they all look soooo good!

  • @XxXkevinXXXX I'm also looking into it, here are some tips to gelp you decide:

    1. Set a budget. If you want to get a tablet but don't want to spend too much money, you have to set a maximum and you have to do this first.

    2. Look for one that matches the specs you want. Don't forget to be a little more realistic in this one if you decided to set a budget, the high end tablets won't come cheap.

    3. Extras. Look for something with some capability that calls your attention (UI, compatibility, etc.)

  • Prefiro o ipad mesmo assim...hauhaua

  • look better dan the ipas, samsung tab

  • This looks very big:O

  • @Rayvideot That's what she said :p

  • does this mean i could use this as my phone with an unliocked sim, please answer

  • @NotANerdJustAGeek There are 2 versions of this tablet, one with 3G capabilities and one with only wi-fi. The first one you can use as phone with speakerphone or a bluetooth headset.

  • sluggish respond . . .

  • thats was the worst spokeperson ever ... you someone fluent with the device in order to impress the potential buyer ...

  • @Cloudwalker60 That's not a spokesperson, it's intomobile's reporter :D

  • just saw the playboard from blackberry ,, that thing can multitasks and flash ..and impressive ... with dualcore.

  • Thumbs up if you think that Archos 10 is better than the Toshiba 100 , thumbs down if you think the opposite

are you talking about that you can turn it into a phone, he is talking something about sim-card so im just wondering?

  • @backhausen117 My understanding is you can use it on a phone carrier's 3G Network for wireless Internet. I may be wrong.

  • @mohitnayudu okay thank you... i have been thinking mabye to by it

  • @backhausen117 he means you can use internet the the network provider using their simcard,,, to connect if you're not on wifi,,,

  • @ForCurrentUse you look pretty good;)

  • i have both an ipad and galaxy tab. I may still like my ipad but i LOVE my galaxy tab. GT such an amazing device. just look up and watch this video 'Samsung Galaxy Tab and / vs. iPad..MUST SEE'

  • With all of these android tablets coming out. How will they get noticed?

  • @JKING313BOY It's called choosing the best one for you, something that apple knows nothing about. All they know is making a huge fuss about one product that's supposedly for everyone. Android gives you options. That's how they get noticed.

  • @esaedvik i think if you focus on one product and you build apon it, then that product will eventually get better. do you think the iphone or droid is better?

  • @JKING313BOY Which iPhone and which Droid? Or do you mean iOS and Android?

  • @esaedvik dont matter. the operating system or the phone. do you think ipone ios or droid froyo is better?

  • @JKING313BOY I think they can't even be compared like that. Both are good at many things, some different. I prefer Android because it works for me since i prefer to customize my phone with rom's and hundreds of apps to replace all default apps. I don't use any default apps on Android since they're totally replaceable. I'm fine with someone prefering a closed, one man operated OS with only a few devices on the market at one time. Android just offers a totally opposite point of view.

  • Not impressed with out the Android Market!

  • @MandaMiichelle It can be hacked to work in nearly any device.

  • i like that they're enabling sideloading... this tab really looks nice IMO. i want it haha

  • Toshiba used to make good solid stuff, now all there shit looks like cheap plastic crap.

  • @Badlandz retard. toshiba is awesome. i have never owned a better laptop made of plastic.

  • @Turok2006 hell yeah u right

  • looks pretty cheap lookin...and a funky dimension too. I'd rather get the galaxy tab

  • they seriously couldn't find a background with the right resolution for the screen for the demo, lol

  • @ForCurrentUse don't say SOLD yet dude. I see Toshiba has it's own "Toshiba Market" for apps. No Android Market is a big minus.... but you can sideload, hopefully.

  • @ForCurrentUse

Toshiba FOLIO 100 supports AVI movie type! :)

  • I am sure there will be pinch to zoom as the display supports 4 point multitouch, I think that the fimware is just in early development hence th bugs. Also I have to say that you for the money you get alot of hardware compared to the iPad which I think is limited alot due to them, such as no sd card (256mb ram, which when multi tasking comes out in ios 4.2 will be noticable), no hdmi out. I personally will be getting this instead :)

  • @farhadinho99 there will be a Toshiba Market Place!

We will soon put info on the official website: folio100.toshiba.eu

  • @ToshibaMultimedia Looking forward to it..

WIll i be able to play movies easily?

Or will i have to convert like i did for the ipad... I sold it as it was basically an iphone without the phone.

  • Hi @MrRiffbear

the Toshiba FOLIO 100 supports this file format for the video:

    H.264 (CABAC 720p, CAVLC 1080P), MPEG-4 (SP, ASP), H.263 (with 3GP, MOV), WMVv9 Advanced Profile (VC-1), MJPEG

  • Without android market ,it's a shame...

  • OMG.. pinch to zoom is a novelty anyway. Who cares? And he left out so much info on the device specs. This is a powerhouse w/ extremely long battery life. The features like full ultra fast SD, full standard HDMI out, with easily changeable battery, front facing cam & sim card kill CrApple iFad easy! Not even production stage yet! haha... Going to be a monster and I understand it will have Android Market for side loading apps and up-converting them for this hi res screen along w/ custom ones!

  • A lot of the "mobile" versions of websites don't allow pinch to zoom, regardless of device -- can't tell if he knew that or not, but it did look like it probably wasn't functioning.

  • Not being certified by Google is the deal breaker right there !!

In regards the bugs though I'm sure those will be fixed on the long run .

So far the Samsung Galaxy is one hella of a product. Can't wait to see Gingerbread on those puppies :-)

  • Comment removed

  • I'm so glad I waited and chose not to get the Ipad. I knew that it was a matter of time before some other company got closer to perfecting this type of device. USB and Card reader are huge. Not sure how Apple missed that. I give it about another 3 months before other companies follow suit.

  • @vancian1970 "USB and Card reader are huge. Not sure how Apple missed that."

Apple didn't miss a thing - Apple wants to wring every last cent out of their customers, so they saved whatever this would have added to the manufacturing cost.

  • What the hell is wrong with the background

  • this looks way better than the glaxy tab.. much bigger and more to do

  • fucking google why are they so but hurt just certify the damn thing

  • no market is a no go!!

  • samsung tab looks better what do u guys think?

  • how much??

and can you put windows7 and photoshop on it?

  • Not impressed with those viewing angles!

  • @Gregz0r1 How about you see it in person before you knock it?

  • @SeEsAw121221 What? So if I said: " Wow that looks amazing!" would you be telling me to see it in person before I praise it?

  • @Gregz0r1 Yeah, viewing angles are different in person than through a camera. Anybody can tell you there's a drastic difference.

  • @SeEsAw121221 Riiight. I guess then, that no-one can say anything about anything, without seeing it in person, which defeats the idea of commentors expressing an opinion.

  • @Gregz0r1 Did I not making myself clear? Viewing angles are viewing angles. They're not compared to performance at all.

A camera can capture when the screen lags while swiping the screen. It doesn't capture image quality very well, though.

You can say what you want about it's crappy, non-production ready, software all you want. (there were some bad force closes) but you can't say something sucks without knowing.

You have to see it in person to experience viewing angles.

  • @SeEsAw121221 *sigh* You don't seem to have grasped what I'm saying here. If I said originally that it "looked great", you'd be saying nothing about looking at it in person before judging it(positively).

Basically, your argument has to go both ways or it's invalid.

  • @Gregz0r1 Like I said, it doesn't matter that the comment was positive or negative.

I used an example of a negative comment, are you stupid?

  • @SeEsAw121221 Nice try there. My whole point, is that you wouldn't have said anything, if the comment was positive.

  • @Gregz0r1 and you're implying that if it were negative I would say something.

    Which I clearly wouldn't as I explained.

    Nice try.

  • @SeEsAw121221 That's my whole point #LOL . My initial comment *was* negative, and you *did* say something.

  • @Gregz0r1 and like I said, That's not the reason I commented. You see how your argument is flawed?

I didn't comment because it was negative or positive, I commented because you have no idea what you're talking about.

You lose, thanks for proving that i'm right.

  • Looks cool.

Do you think it will be able to keep up with the iPad?
