  • I'm sorry I haven't been around Lesley, but this is my sentiment about the holidays too.

  • Oh, I missed this one.. which I'm sorry to say is a habit of mine lately!! Missing videos, that is..

I hope I wasn't 'crying wolf' earlier, but I'm just trying to gather the cavalry, so to speak. The troll exterminators..

The holiday season is coming to an end now, and to be honest I'm glad! It just gets a bit much sometimes.. and today is the first time I've ever seen in a new year on my own...

  • Same to you, Lesley. Hi to Brian.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice job on the song too. There's something charming about the uke.

  • and you too. ;)

  • Same to ya lesley! Sorry I missed this one. I'm not getting all of my sub videos in my inbox because God hates me. Or it might be YouTube.

  • yep! enough with santa and christmas songs! I wish you a happy new year... ...from the bottom of my heard :-) best wishes to AKA randomwriting too!

  • Thank you Lesley! I accept it. Joie de vivre!

  • Great ! Just Great!! If you knew how good you were at this you would be on tour. Making money!!!

  • Jolly !!

  • You forget to mention the Devil's Testicles...or Brussel Sprouts as they're more commonly known.

Hope you had a wonderful Winter Solstice!

  • A sweet and gifted voice sings Holiday cheers and happy hearts! Just love this! Merry Christmas and Everything Wandermas and Festivus!!

  • Thanks cookie - Merry and joyful festivities to you and oh yes- a Very Happy New Year.

    *clink*

    xx

  • Very nice - words and thoughts to aspire to. If only it weren't for those marketeers - lol.

Keeping the holiday very simple this year. Me, the wife and son. One present each.

Happy Holidays to you and yours - and yes - said from the bottom of my heart :)

  • How refreshing. Happy Christmas Danny, and wishing you a splendid new year xox

  • How sweet! Happy Holidays to both of you (and I mean that :-)

  • Thanks Marc. I'm looking forward to 2010.

Happy Holidays and I wish you a fantastic new year. xox.

  • I hear an echo - must be because you have such a big heart :)

    Merry Christmas Marylou xx

  • This made me cry! Wow.. The words are perfect, but your voice! Oh my... swoooooon....

  • aw shucks Gina Love

    Merry and Happy everything xox

  • And Happy Holidays to you, Brian, and puppy as well Lesley! I've been keeping it simple for years:) It's always good to go into a store after Christmas and not see huge sections of it devoted to Christmas decorations.

  • I know what you mean. I hate when the re-merchandise the stores and take out the things you go there for in order to put in the mechanical santa and flashing snowmen aisle! Ok, rant over.

Hope you have a great Christmas - and I look forward to spending another year hanging out together in cyberville! xox

  • Good tune, Lesley! I reached the saturation point sometime around 1982... Meh.

  • I think I reached saturation about a year after you - late bloomer. LOL

  • Happy Holidays to you, and Brian, and puppy! xoxo

  • Thanks Ann! Merry Christmas to you xx

  • You are too beautiful.

Happy Holidays to you and yours, too!!!!!

    Peace,

    E-

  • Thanks Elaina. Hope you have plenty of merrymaking in the next couple of weeks - and most of all a very Happy New Year.

    xox

    L.U. Elaina! xx

    *heads to coffee pot*

  • LMAO, Lesley!

  • Once again you amaze. I love it!

  • thanks Steve - Hope you have a great year in 2010. xx

  • Happy xmas!

  • same to you!

  • Merry Christmas.

  • and a very Happy New Year xx

  • You are blooming amazing. Love the lyrics and drifty (if that's a word) melody.

Yeah, Happy Holiday again..I wished it was a "happy holiday everyday, for everyone.

  • I love 'drifty' - I may borrow that! Thanks Kai.

I am just finishing up a film I made for a college project - It's about a little gnome who tries the save the world. Maybe he'll succeed. :)

    Happy New Year xx

  • @LeSaMilano if you ever need an actor, give us a holler!

    ^^,

  • will do!

  • I'm all for keeping it simple, Lesley.

    Beautiful little diddi!

  • Happy holiday to you and Mr. RW.

  • same to you Marie! how are the floors coming? I bet kitty loves them LOL

  • This wonderful tune has re-set my holiday googaw saturation point. Much appreciated!

And hey, my little sister and I are planning a trip to Finland in July. I was thinking of heading to London for a couple of days around Wimbledon. Of course, I planned this last year and the year before, too, but, this time I have other people to help me my lazy butt out the door. So, I might be in your hood a few months from now.

    Cheers and Happy Holidays!

  • Glad to have reset the saturation meter!

That is some fantastic news. I really hope you make it over - we need an excuse to get to London! see you soonish! xx

  • Soon be fed up of easter bunnies lol....... Merry christmas Lesley to you and Bryan .x.x.

  • I've been talking to a 6- foot tall invisible white rabbit for year - a few bunnies can't scare me off! LOL

Happy Christmas to you and Tam xox

  • Happy Harveyday x

  • That would be a miracle on 34th indeed! x

  • Funny you should say that - I am out of the bath now and all Krismas Krinkly! x

  • I thought you looked a bit wet behind the deers!

  • Good job blondie :) Never had teeth sing at me before! Frankly...I think the world should dispose of this Holiday nonsense and just celebrate my birthday :) Being a politically incorrect person and people only say happy holidays...I want to be the first one to wish you a Merry Christmas xxoo

  • I did a close up on those choppers just for you;)

Yeah Merry Christmas right back. F PC!

    xx

  • Two months is hard to take, i agree.

Still, it will soon be Easter. Watch out for those eggs! :)

  • I'm just thankful that you Brits are sensible enough not to import the Easter Bunny! ;)

  • Ti auguro con tutto il mio cuore un Buon Natale e un felice Anno Nuovo :)

  • tante grazie Laz

Ti auguro un sereno Natale e un 2010 pieno di felicita' Auguri!

    xox

  • Lesley that was amazing.... you're so right too.... Christmas started in september here in the Liverpool shops....

    :-(

    Loved your song

    x hugs x

  • yep, we watched in horror as the junk started trickling in about mid September and then there was an avalanche of holiday overkill by Halloween! waah

I've found it's best to try and ignore! xx

  • What?

  • There was a moment, just a moment, the other

night at a silent film screening of a Laurel

and Hardy short--an audience of families,

    couples and singles--when I realized a true

feeling of togetherness in the spirit of

Christmas. Ah, but that's all it is then--just

moments from past, present, and future.

Dickens was right all along. Peace and love.

  • "I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future." - don't tell the merchants though - they're likely to take advantage of a 12 month Christmas cycle! xox

  • From the bottom of my heart - May the holiday season bring you much laughter, love and beauty.

  • now that is a beautiful wish.

I hope you have a great year in 2010. xox

  • I like it too!

    Happy Holidays Les!!

  • glad to be likeable! hehehe

oh and have a happy new year while you're at it :)

  • Uh oh...I guess I better stop my Xmas project now!! LOL

Loved the song! Brava, "Mistress of all Things"!! I'm already out of money...so when I say Happy Holidays, I do mean it from the bottom of my heart!!

Happy Holidays to you, RW and the babies!...:-) Now if I can only catch you to tell you in cyberperson...xoxoxoxo

  • haha! NO! This was just my form of protest against the merchants that shove holiday cheer at us from mid October! We're pretty poor this year so we haven't had any shopping stress and hassles! There is an upside to poverty LOL

I'll switch on my skype and talk whenever you're ready baby! xxox

  • you mean?it's christmas time again?i was wondering why i'm baking all these cookies? and when i wander away, everyone look's mean out there?? in that case..since i hear solstice bells ringing...merry yul brynner and happy enchilada's... more ukulele please..cheers

  • crazy, isn't it? You're there minding your own business baking little elf-shaped cookies and Christmas comes along and steals your thunder! LOL

Please pass the taco sauce - I am hoping for some spice in 2010! :)

  • You have such a pretty voice! I liked that too ; )

Happy Holidays Leslie to you and your ragamuffins ;P xo

  • aw thank Pips!

Hope you're planning another southern hemisphere adventure for 2010- winters are long in Canadaland! xox

  • its just an exuse for people to get drunk, and i dont need one.nice song.xxx

  • oh - and here I was thinking it was an excuse to drink and fart! damn! xx

  • Definitely a new holiday classic, Lesley ... I love all the iconic frou-frou of the holidays but I don't want it to start the day after Halloween and I've been scrooging about the cluster forkout since 1972 -- haha! Maybe the downward economy will get us back to a more intimate celebration -- Ah! Bumhugs -- Everyone!!

  • I love 'cluster forkout' LOL Yes, Virginia there is a silver lining in a recession! xx

  • Due to the economy, I'm broke as I have not been since the early 70s! But our group makes it about each other; #1: gift exchange, you cannot spend more than $50, #2, anything else must be under $10 and / or hand made. It's creative and fun and we focus on one another. Kudos to my daughter for creating a healthy, happy holiday. I wish you the same.

  • under control it's worthwhile and meaningful - so different from the frenzied buy buy buy just because you're supposed to! I'm burnt out by December first! - and I don't really 'do' Christmas anymore - it's just the force- feeding of it everywhere - only for commerce. *sigh*

I'm holding out for just being together with friends and loved ones - no stuff!

  • We can always take the point of view that less is better for the planet! The new green is to leave all that rubbish in the store and focus on the time we have together! Well, okay, maybe not the kids.... Yeah, 'force fed' is the truth - I've had the news on earlier this morning and it was one commercial after the other. Is there one single program not sponsored by WalMart? Great song - I loved it.

  • I think we should call it the lean green chillin' machine! LOL

  • An instant christmas classic. We must keep it safe from Any Williams... I would like to enter a ball room dancing competition with you. I don't know why.

  • We should enter Strictly come Dancing ( I think it's called dancing with the stars in the US) - cha cha cha !

  • This was all kinds of awesome!!

They start Cosumer Christmas right after Halloween here. By the end of November I am so over it.

  • you're a trooper if you make it to the end of November! I'm thinking I'll celebrate Christmas on the 15 of November while I'm still in the mood and the xmas tress still have needles!

  • Ahhh I loved this Lesley...

what a lovely song...from beautiful you.

    Happy Holidays to you too.

    Hugs~Nancy

  • Thanks Nancy - have a wonderful holiday - and stay warm! xox

  • This was very fun to listen to! Merry Christmas to you also. :)

  • glad you enjoyed. Have to put my ukulele to use somehow!

    Merry Christmas xox

  • I know Santa isn't coming to visit us this year cos he doesn't do poor people but I think we should still leave out a mince pie, an extra large brandy and a carrot for the reindeer just in case.

Well maybe we will skip the carrot this year... xx

  • I think Santa's visited early - the mince pies have been disappearing! You reminded me that I rather like brandy, and don't care so much about carrits! xx

  • you wouldn't say that if you were a rain dear x

  • but in the lane there's glistening snow, man

    x

  • Keepin' it simple ... if only...

Merry Christmas Lesley & may the New Year bring you peace & joy. Love you, Chris

  • I used to be caught up in the Christmastime hoopla - now I can't afford to be!

wishing every happiness and wonderful new adventures ahead - bangs or no bangs! xox

  • This was really sweet.

And ditto to what you said in the description.

    (WAITRESS, CHECK PLEASE!)

    ;-)

    xoxo

  • I bet they were playing that Perry Como festive collection at that restaurant - can't get away from it from Halloween to Christmas!

  • Awwe Lesley... me likes a lot! ;0)

Happy Holidays to you and yours sweet lady.

    Hugz darlin!

  • glad you likey :)

hope you have a good holiday and very happy 2010 :)

  • Awesome! Happy Holidays to you!

  • thank you and same to you :)

    Happy New year!

  • you too, duckie ... lovely tune - complimenti per la tua voce!

  • we are going to a Victorian costume party on Christmas - wanted to find a nice scroogey floppy rubber prop goose but had second thoughts as the hostess is vegan! LOL

  • don't vegans use rubbers?

  • I think they're against floppy dicss x

  • That was fun. I got a little thrill there around 2:02 where you say "Happy Holiday." You must be messing around with the sound there, girl! By the time I got tpo the ornaments at the end, it felt like I was a couple of egg nogs* in. As usual, a beautiful video! (*In U.S. we spike egg nog with whiskey or rum. Can't believe I am footnoting my joke.)

  • what echo? I think you might have double- dipped in the nog! LOL

I like brandy in my eggnog, just sayin'

    xx

  • There's something about that part of the video, and I think it's the audio. Unless it's my new headphones.

  • Happy Holidays to all, and from me to you Merry Christmas! I hope your New Year is blessed.

  • I think it will be a very good year. Peace to you :)

  • Ah most excellent my Dear.... Thanks for my wake up song... I owe I owe so off to work I go... with a smile...

  • aha! The Holiday mantra! here's to less owing come 2010 :)
