There is actually speculation that Nero is the son of Vergil; by those rights and technicalities, assuming the information is true, then he is demon born. Plus, I don't think any of the protagonists in the DMC series consider themselves heroes; they fight for their own purposes, and do so in an honorable manner, in my eyes, anyway.
Sure, they get cocky, but you must remember that's what we like about the characters. If they didn't taunt their "weak" enemies, it wouldn't be too fun

I can agree that there are flaws to it, but you also forget that not only was this made originally to advertise for the release of the game, but on top of it, most of these "commercials" were done mainly without the visuals of the characters face to ruin the picture.
Like most commercials, there are flaws within the production, that's no debate. But one shouldn't bash over a mistake that, in my eyes, is as minute as that.

I guess I was expecting-no-'hoping' for more from the professionals involved in this. If there is one thing my proffs always beat me over the head about, it was 'consistency'. At least when dealing with 'close ups' of the face. It's one of the main rules when you pick your storyboards before shooting. But you're right about cutting them some slack though.

I thank you people who made this video! For not showing whoever was acting -or rather presenting- Nero, anyhow, for not showing your full face. It just would have looked weird [no offense] but any who, very nicely done. The arm looked nice, the sparks from the sword also. But most importantly what stuck out most in my mind was how the body language really made me think of Nero. Once again this was awesome!
i know it will probably never be more than just an idea but...can you imagine how awesome would it be to make a movie about the DMC? i mean, just think about it.
If any of the past attempts at video game->film are to be any indicator, then HELL NO.
Besides, DMC is action based, story-wise, it doesn't really have much to offer. The movie woul probably just a bunch of shiny lights and horrible actors.
I can agree to a point; actors are going to be the biggest problem, as you can't exactly have it right, but you must also remember that the voice actors for the game were also the same people who did the motion capturing for their own characters.
Special Effects and getting the scenes down just right could also be another issue, but if you get the right team on it, the negatives become greatly minor.
DMC has a very unique storyline, but it was hidden away by the action of the games.
From now on, whenever I go to church, I'll enter with a big-ass sword, pray a moment, then suddenly get up and walk slowly to the rythm of a kick-ass guitar.

I didn't like Nero. I think he was a bit of a whiner. I like playing with Dante, because Dante was more versatile. I can do a lot more with Dante. People only liked Nero because he can grab things and kill them easier. Dante is only for the skilled player I guess, and yes, Dante will wipe the floor with Nero without breaking a sweat.

DMC4 was good, not the best but it was good. It had all of the elements a DMC game should have. Dante, hot chicks, awesome soundtrack, great graphics, and characters that you just HAVE to love. But I'm a DMC1 fan so it was good. Just not the best.
@Rollingfatdude It's never shown... but it's stated that his arm got transformed when he was protecting Kyrie from some Demons a few months prior to the game....
dante is awesome, yes, but nero is still young so hasnt had as much time developing his skills, but in the end i still think nero is cooler because he brings a whole new aspect of emotion to the franchise :p

I think the reason people like dante more is because well, he is obviously a complete badass, but more importantley he's not whining about something through the entire game. Seriously, that's all Nero did in the game. When ever a problem was solve, it didnt matter, he would still find something to cry about. I really hate these types of charcters, they get VERY annoying. I really wished we could have played as good old Dante a last time, before they went and rebooted the series.
I would love to see nero come back in devil may cry 5, explore him as a charchter more, i would also like to see vergil come back, maybe even a story drawn up about a connection between the two. This way you would get a greater insight to two awesome charchters and a pretty kickass game.

DMC4 was good, not the best but it was good. It had all of the elements a DMC game should have. Dante, hot chicks, awesome soundtrack, great graphics, and characters that you just HAVE to love. But I'm a DMC1 fan so it was good. Just not the best.

@Rollingfatdude It's never shown... but it's stated that his arm got transformed when he was protecting Kyrie from some Demons a few months prior to the game....

dante is awesome, yes, but nero is still young so hasnt had as much time developing his skills, but in the end i still think nero is cooler because he brings a whole new aspect of emotion to the franchise :p

dante and nero are awsome...i like the idea of having fresh blood to work with plus nero was pretty fun with the grab and all....i think it would be nice to maybe get a couple other devil arms with their own abilities to spice things up

with all the potential storylines they could have gone with for a new game, why did they feel the need to reboot the series? a wise man once said "if we don't learn from history, we're doomed to repeat it". they messed with dante's character once before in dmc 2, and look how many negative reviews the game got and they're doing the same thing with this upcoming game.

@crazyweirdomimicers 1. I never said that they did. 2. Devil May Cry is NOT about the blood. It's got surprisingly small amounts of it outside of the cutscenes. It is about the gameplay and the characters. I was only rejecting your argument that there were no sexual themes in the game. There are. Thus, their existence is labeled, and it affects the rating. 3. If you're going to tell me that I'm WRONG, by all means, do so. If not, admit that you misunderstood a relatively simple post and move on.

I think the reason people like dante more is because well, he is obviously a complete badass, but more importantley he's not whining about something through the entire game. Seriously, that's all Nero did in the game. When ever a problem was solve, it didnt matter, he would still find something to cry about. I really hate these types of charcters, they get VERY annoying. I really wished we could have played as good old Dante a last time, before they went and rebooted the series.

I would love to see nero come back in devil may cry 5, explore him as a charchter more, i would also like to see vergil come back, maybe even a story drawn up about a connection between the two. This way you would get a greater insight to two awesome charchters and a pretty kickass game.
