Yours is wrong because Bob Cole is one of the legendary Canadian commentators, whose name is pretty synonymous with Hockey Night in Canada, and has been so for so many years - well before I started watching hockey. Couldnt agree more. From the west coast here where Hughson used to be a regular with the nucks, but it really has worn out on cbc. Cole is a true legend that ill never get tired of. Miss him doing the finals now.

agreed! hughson and craig simpson are good but they are sooo boring, just such plain personalities. i really like bob cole and chris cuthbert. harry neale and greg millen as colour commentators are good too because they both say things that make me laugh. i like Mark Lee with CBC too, he's got a good voice that reminds me of the late Don Whittman

Bob Cole is the best!!! This is such a poor and pathetic example to get to him. It did look like a stop initially, and you can imagine even more so all the way up in the press box where the commentators are. BOB COLE IS THE MAN!!!

I guess, as a Canucks fan, my opinion is slanted. Jim Hughson is a Canucks fan, and though he strive to be impartial on national tv, he still cheers for the canucks. I find him to be witty and he has an awesome voice for the game (which is one thing I also like about Bob Cole.)
I've seen Bob Cole call Canucks games before. The line of Mats, Daniel, and Henrik "Sundin" is a classic example of how Bob Cole is starting to blunder a bit. Love him nonetheless!

Gary Thorne - better as baseball analyst bc he's way too obsessed with the big market teams (Colorado/Detroit) when calling NHL. Bob Cole was overrated in his prime, but he actually got better once he got too old....bc his tidbits are funnier to laugh at!

Do you clowns even know where the press box is in tampa? I've been it and like most NHL arenas, the press box is at the top of the arena. The players look like ants on the ice and the puck is nearly invisible. If you people were so good, send your tape to the CBC or NBC. But for my money, Cole is a legend, he lets the game speak for itself. Now go back to your snow shoveling or dog walking jobs and leave Mr. Cole alone!!
