@MrVexxem It utilizes aspects of death metal but as a whole the genre is not recognized as a subgenre of metal. Kind of like Grindcore which is a subgenre of Punk. Deathcore is seen as a subgenre of Hardcore and is not recognized by Guitar World or Ultimate Guitar as a metal subgenre. But it's not all bad. I actually like some Deathcore.
