  • Dear Vihor 189: in the Subtitles you chould say also that this is originally Vivaldi's piece...

Originally concerto for violins - Bach made only transcription for harpsichords..

But anyway.. Thanks for posting this.. I prefer the best this Koopman's version.. Praise to Koopman, praise to Amsterdame!!!

  • Bravo!! Amazing Thank you

  • Thank YOU for posting this. It is the best version I have heard.

  • Amazing how Bach can take something that was beautifully made for the violins by Vivaldi, and make it a masterpiece for the harpsichord as well.

  • So true, but I'm disapointed in the transposition. It sounds much better in the original key of b minor in my oppinion.

  • I agree. But I guess this was easier for the harpsichordists fingers, so Bach chose this key.

  • Taking step back in time is the best way to reconnect with one's inner-self. This music simply takes you there spontaneously. The part at 0:57 and 2:46 is most uplifting. Bach is the king of kings, always was and always will be!!!!!!!

Thank you for this amazing clip.

  • the part at 0:57and 2:46 is totally to the credit of vivaldi, the uplifting sensation is due to moving through the circle of fifths in a chordal progression, something vivaldi does tons and tons and tons of as do many other baroque composers because its actually an extremely simple concept that can fit into just about any piece quite nicely. if youd like i could explain to you more indeepth or point into the direction of several websites.

  • @KindFurryBoy what are the similarities? What are some of your interpretations?
