  • Man, can remember watching these guys actually playing in someone's garage one night. There were people in the driveway slamming all the way out to the sidewalk. No idea how the cops never showed up (well, at least not while we were there). Can also remember there were always GYR flyers up all over the place.. all up and down veterans, everywhere you looked. Thanks for this... blast from the past!!

  • "southern rock" dont you mean crappy grunge rock? Seriously maybe I need to listen to every Keenan era COC record 100 times before I can hear a difference between them and Alice in Chains.

Want to hear a heavy band that actually is interesting? Try Neurosis or Today is the Day. Heck almost anything on Relapse Records.

  • Cool, i'll check em out for sure. Thanks!

  • How the fuck did Pepper ruin COC..Please explain that one to me.Being a fan of both eras, but I prefer Blind and eveything after it.Your comment about Sepultura..You can shove that up your gaped asshole because Ive been listening to Sepultura since I was 13,which was back in 95.The only good point you made is that Coors is shit water.

  • brew town in the oh my my

  • As dude bro dimez said, I like both eras of COC, I think Pepper gave COC something extra that they didn't have before... which was their own sound. I love their new album, and I have long hair. And what does Sepultura have to do with COC? I know you're trying to make a point, but you could've used a better band. Maybe you're the bro with the jock hawk.

  • Sepultura was an awesome band when they were just thrash. then they discovered Amebix and Punk Rock and pretty much went the opposite direction of COC (Metal to Punk instead of Punk to Metal).

Then Max and Igor had a falling out and Max went and started Soulfly.

Sepultura post-Max is pretty weak, but at least they do the old songs live. Soulfly is freaking new age metal. Winhdam Hill for heshers.

  • Dude, I know my Sepultura history alright? I own Schizophrenia, Arise and Chaos A.D., thanks anyways though.

  • I was into both COC and Sepultura in the 80s and I love the era with Pepper. I saw your early comment about them being "generic" now, let me ask you, how many bands were mixing doom, hardcore and southern rock before Deliverance? If there is now a generic southern metal sound its something that was inspired by, or ripped off from them, so how can they sound generic? If you like coc hardcore fine but dont just go to videos bitch about Pepper. They just evolved, it wasnt contrived or a sellout.

  • @fuzzleredmenn Hmm you're into cock and Sepultura? Gay and cool.

  • lol.youre hilarious

  • Tommy? Pepper?

  • Who posted this video? I am the one who helped shoot it. I still have a copy! Holy $#%@! Hugh?

  • well i met the dude and he was cool as hell to just hang out and talk to the fans and sign autographs or whatever. ruined COC? took them in another direction and helped them progress musically maybe, but he did not fuckin ruin COC!

  • Well I went to high school with pepper. I think I know him a little better than you. As far as a better direction. Well he took them in a direction of generic bullshit. Whereas before they were an iconic hardcore band. Autographs? Hardcore punk is not about fan worship. COC with mike was not about that kind of mainstream jock hawk BS.

  • So what if Pepper banged your girlfriend in high school, get over it man. That was probably 20 years ago, so don't tell me you know him because you had a class with him as a teenager. Generic bullshit? I've never heard a fucking COC song on the radio or something similar to it bro, so get your words right. They did slow the pace down, but that's because Pepper brought a Sabbath-style of playing to the band.

  • Wow you are clueless. 80's era COC was one of the first crossover metal-hardcore bands. One of the fiercest bands I ever saw live. 90's era COC is like Metalica without Burton. Directionless, weak and just going thru the motions. You are obviously not a punk rocker and cant identify.

As far as Sabbath style shit, check out High on Fire. That brings the Metal.

  • fuck that!!! what about the music??

  • are u insane?

  • Haha, God you're a faggot, Fuck off you dumb piece of shit. You don't know talent when you see it.

  • Tommy kicking some guys ass in the beginning, talk about classic Graveyard Rodeo experience. Funny how everybodies look seems so different than what I remember from those days. Viva NOLA Punk rock !

  • OLD SKOOL

  • bwahahahhaha

loved when the singer "came up"...

    holy CRAP!!

  • THANKS JASON MANIX

  • Lee left in '88 didn't he?

  • That would be Perry McCauley on vocals, Tommy Scanlon on bass and Wayne (Doobie) on drums.

  • and that's Lee and Pepper on guitars.

  • you're right, I thought this was post Lee Rodeo.

  • @paranoize hey lees my uncle

  • my memory is shoddy, who were the other members of the band

  • Oh the good ole days... Where was this taped?

  • Where is Pepper? I want to see him!

  • he's the blonde haired dude.

  • So cool! Thanks for sharing!
