  • thats exactly why we have to train the way we do. it looks all well and good but its purpose is to get rid of your enemy. as said. when my enemy strikes. i will be behind him.

  • @something, I'll let him answer : "I wonder if there is anyone at all who understands O-Sensei’s greatness completely".

As for humility and training, I'm still alive, dunno about tomorrow but we'll see.

Wood does not strike back. ;-)

  • I would call those koshinage as much as I would call them bench presses. Impressive for a man his age... and height... well... just generally impressive.

  • Muy lindo, muy lindo....que haría este salvaje sensei con alguien que no ataque como un tonto?

  • @aikipablo100 Observa las aplicaciones de C, Tissier.

    Ahi hay buenos ataques.

  • @phones The old master would cry. Look at O sensei's 1935 aiki budo movie and watch the difference if you have eyes to see

  • @samleonetles3 this man studied under o-sensei for many years. i think he knows more about o-sensei's aikido than you do from simply watching a movie. how many years have you been training? one? five? ten? twenty? well this man has been training for longer than you've been alive, i'm sure. have some humility before you judge a shihan.

  • @somethinginoffensive i agree with you 100%,the masters of this art am lethal, seagal is out of shape but anderson silva swears by his training and if you watch the training, seagal punishes a seasoned animal like hes amateur, with aikido size dont count, people think its fake because of the diving but if they didnt dive the way they do,bones would be snapped.

  • Useless pointless display of brainless sick violence

  • @samleonetles3 How is this a "display of brainless sick violence?" Aikido is the most polite martial arts system I've ever seen, and is the only style that even seems to care about defending themselves AND being polite to their attacker (even if I question the potency.) If (heaven forbid) someone ever attacks you or a loved one in a REAL display of sick violence, think back to this video. It's far from pointless. I'm a pacifist, but if I am ever attacked, I will not be as nice as him. Peace.

  • holy crap, he falls so well, he just has a small problem with his feet....the thrower is good too... i guess... XD

  • Jesus that man is smooth! He looks like some kind of a**-kicking conveyer belt.

  • your mothers pussy is fake

  • Its an honor to be his uke. the pain goes away... Good display of ki here---> 1:36

  • @Shapeshifterxxx Nice technique, good ki .. not so much. He loses his balance & posture for a moment there.

  • @jezovnikj lol for a moment. that might have something to do with his age. This man in his prime was unstoppable and still is even in his 60's. Internet no it all.

  • @jezovnikj actually your comment was smart and now helps me understand ki better.

  • even though he is holding back, and looking after his uke, the poor uke got seriously banged about! what an awesome performance

  • @Zmeisssshe : mwahahaha.

Try & we re-discuss later, if ur still alive :)))

  • bla bla bla...mr pussy girl is talking...

  • wonderful koshinage he makes

  • the very last fall was kinda... bad the uke couldn't turn into full yoko ukemi and kinda fell on his back :( musta have hurt

  • wow, he is quite good at Aikido

  • thank you for agreeing panderetoir

  • it´s true when an aikido master catch you,if he want,he make you scream like a geisha...

  • pretty dance! il do those moves to u full force then lets see u cal that a pretty dance

  • power freak, sad for his students or for people watching this in search for aikido demo......

  • One thing i dont like about aikido is it focuses on not causing your opponent harm.

What good is that in a street situation??

I mean are you supposed to keep throwing the perosn till you both get tired?

  • Well hte thing is its up to you what you do when an opponent is on the floor.....maybey finish him off

  • If your opponent is thrown once he wont be getting up.

On the street there's something weird called Pavement, if you fall on that with your head it hurts and stuff.

Aikido's aim is not to permanently harm your opponent. You wont be breaking his neck, but in Aikido you DO strike him, break his arms and drop him on the floor. All of them hurt and keep them from ever coming to you again

  • why is he being so rough with those guys? especially the second guy... ish... so much anger

  • yeah the waterfall must have hurt...

  • Hiroshi Isoyama Sensei learned from the Founder of aikido . Him and Morihiro Saito Sensei were the ones, who rushed to the Founders deathbed and were with him when he died. This is one of the greatest living teachers of aikido. And you people are saying some stupid things about him.

If you limit aikido to "love and harmony" you will never understand neither "love and harmony" nor aikido. Spiritual enlightenment is achieved through lots of sweat, pain and blood.

  • If you are going to throw some one that hard you may as well as punch them in the face a few times, or give them a groin shot - blending? Love? Harmony? I think not or he comes from a very dsyfunctional family.

  • WTF is wrong with this guy??!!

  • He's tired of Aikido dancing and decided to try real Aikido.

  • WTF is wrong with you? Open your eye's jacko, fucko.

  • Kind'a stiff and jerky in his execution of the techniques.

Doesn't look much like Ueshiba sensei nor Morihiro Sensei.

  • agreed. maybe cause hes old or something

  • I am italian and i know Ueshiba the founder of aikido elimined all dangerous techniques of aikijutsu and he founded aikido.I play aikikai and my sensei told me kataguruma is not aikido it s a judo technique Steven Seagal never does this technique in ueshiba videos i have never seen kataguruma

  • This is Steven Seagal's teacher. He is an Aikikai Shihan and a Technical Councellor for that organisation. How do you and your sensei know so much about what the founder did compared to this guy who spent twenty years under his tutelage?

You are clearly passionate about aikido, so I urge you to look deeper.

Btw: I realise you are not a native speaker of English but please do not explain it using the verb "play". That is for games and sports. Aikido is a form of Budo. We "do" Budo.

  • the technique at 2 09 is not koshinage it is judo kataguruma not aikido

  • It's an aikido technique called ganseki otoshi. There is also an aikido technique called kataguruma which kokyus across the shoulders (kata). Another aikido technique employs the hip/lower back (koshi) and is called koshinage. Osensei never told him this wasn't aikido. Do you know something the founder didn't?

  • he should really use another uke just so people can understand that this is aikido not pro wrestling

  • Isoyama Shihan is perhaps the finest example of the power of Aikido.

I have attended several of his US seminars and he teaches beginners very gently and as far as Udansha goes he treats them accordingly.

  • please dont say that, do not spread a missunderstanding for people who do not know aikido. Aikido is only powerfull when its gracefull pass this on!

you can even ask isoyama himself!

i know alot of groups might dissagree ,some aikido branches might say "well this and that" but its so ver sad because they are going against the very core of aikido and why its a DO in aikido and not just aikijujutsu. Please dont make isoyama commercial for violence and irresponsible practice!

  • this was not towarded to you only i was making a generall request to the public watching any aikido

  • fa un po paura!

  • shit! 2:o8

  • wow!just like takeda !very solid sensei!

  • this is not aikijujutsu , not just like takeda.. there is no locks or death blows, there is no holding still there is no static nor is there any weponary.

  • afta dat my man takin pain killas

  • a very good fighter ...
