  • It's interesting that you asked for an update. I worked on one until 3am last might. Today I'm editing and putting music so should be soon! Thanks for asking!

    Debbie

  • Love you love you love you!!! So eloquently put - as usual!! Thank the heavens for this tool!

  • Go Janie!!! I love your view on life and your videos. You and the other long standing wls youtubers have helped me immensely on my decision to take the easy way out, to cheat etc etc if only they knew eh? Take care. Julie xx

  • pls pray for my friend linda. she needs a lot of prayers at this time.

    her youtube acct. name is..."momtooo"

  • hey janie thanks for the video it is so true and we all know we arent cheating by having surgery im 6 months out when people say that i just laugh and we all know there is nothing easy about this

  • I notice your video and sound quality is much better.

    Thanks. I enjoy your videos!

  • As usual you hit the nail on the head. Those of us who have had surgery have tried and tried the other ways & it didn't work for us. I have not kept my surgery a secret, but I don't debate it either. If anyone says anything I say that losing weight is easy. I did it all the time. I just couldn't keep it off, this should help me. Besides, why would I continue to use the hard way, the ineffective way, and say, no to something that was "easy" and effective? Sounds like a no brainer to me.

  • weight loss surgery should not be done without thinking seriously about it. I have actually seen people who put wieghts in their pockets so they would weight the qualified amount. You are an inspriation to me and I lost 6 pounds at the doctors because you inspire me girl!!!

  • MWAH MWAH MWAH!!!! great vid, Janie! You're a supreme example of inspiration! I'm SO proud of you and this video!

Keep talking!!! Something good is always coming out!!

  • Hey you are great!! On top of absulte beautiful. I had this surgery to change my save my life. I have never had normal blood sugar or pressure and now I am off daily oxygen so glad 7 weeks out

  • I completely agree as I am also an open book, but it's because of people like you and others mentioned and not that I had any hope, at 13 my BMI was high enough to get approved for RNY without comorbidities and at 17 when they removed my gall bladder the surgeon wanted to perform the RNY but my parents and physician thought I was too young and at 23 weighing in at almost 400 pounds I finally got it done for myself, THANK YOU and all the open books!

  • hah.. yeah .. you cheated... you cheated DEATH! You cheated further co-morbidities, you cheated an earlier death, you cheated other diseases! go girl... :-) Cheers... Here's to ''Cheating''. <3 ya!

  • hugs back! i <3 you too!

  • Thanks!

  • Another great inspirational video! That made me feel good...I'm sure it helped Erin out tremendously :)

  • aww...thanks Vicki!

  • Once again we have people in our community who have to put others down for their choices. Just when we start to feel like a community someone has to say things that are hurtful to many. Trust works both ways and its a shame that we have to remind others to be respectful, and mature. doesnt always work like that though. I tried losing weight for so long. I will never apologize to anyone for my choice. It saved my life. What ever works for you right? It was right for me, Wonderful video Janie.

  • Thanks, Norma! i just saw some videos about 15 minutes ago that have left me shaking..they were so filled with hate that i feel like i have to tak a shower. i dont know what is going on, but when will people learn that we get back what we put out?

  • AWESOME!! thanks for letting us participate in your CELEBRATION!! booYAH!!

  • Yay!! Let's keep celebrating!

  • Thanks, Sometimes when people tell me how good I look, i feel like I owe it to the surgery, but then I had to work this too, I have to excerise and eat right, Thank you Miss Janie,

  • we definitely have to work this tool.. i think its hard whether we have surgery or not.. but i just feel like i don't care anymore what someone else wants to call it.. i am healthy now and thats all that counts.

  • thanks for the video!

i'm still pre-op & i already can feel negativity towards the surgery.

so this definitely has given me more confidence on how to deal with those "debbie downers"

  • you do whats right for you and that will always bring its own reward! good luck to you!

  • And the Grammy goes toooooo.....

    MissJanieHere !!!!!! YAY !!!!

  • lol! thanks, you are so sweet!

  • I totally agree with you 100%. I'm an open book and I have never been ashamed of regaining my health and taking back control of my life.

  • Glad to see you are doing well. Nice to see you.

  • hey! when are you going to come out and do an update??

  • Real soon Janie :-)

  • Great video!

  • thanks!

  • This was great. It's a wonderful thing when we get to the point in life where we really can say 'what's the big deal' and really mean it. Another nice place to get to is where we no longer must convince others of our opinion. It makes life so much simpler. Just to take this idea a little further, if someone did feel guilt or shame do you think there is ever a cut off period. For example, 10,20,30 years from now will they still feel the same way. We know that time changes many things.

  • exactly! i also wish that people would get how words have no power but what we give them... and if we want more love in our lives, then we need to spread more love around... <3<3<3 Thanks!

  • Five stars for you! Hugs, Cami

  • you are just a sweetie pie!

  • I think the shame would hit me IF i failed. So obviously, shame is not an option. Because Failure is not an option.

  • you are right! failure is not an option... i have a feeling you don't have anything to worry about ! :D

  • And the crowd goes wild!!!! 3 Cheers for Miss Janie. You ROCK!!!

  • I don't have shame about my surgery. However, I have guilt. When people come up to me and say they can't believe how much weight I've lost (or something like that) I always tell them I've had GB. According to my friends I say it apologetically. And I explain that I only do it when I'm tell an overweight person that I had GB, because I don't want them to feel like a failure that I lost and they haven't. Anyway, great video Jane. take care - jenn

  • hey Jen... i see what you mean, but we can only answer for ourselves right? and i think by documenting our path to freedom, maybe we can show others that its ok if they are in the same boat..

when you coming back to tx?

  • Very true, I am working on not feeling guilty. It is a process, just like all of life, right? ;) I don't care if people think I cheated, they can suck it. I'm sure they use a dishwasher to do their dishes. Is that cheating? I may, and this is a big may, be going in mid March. Fingers crossed. take care - jenn
