after the 1.5 OS update, is anyone else having text lag? i go to type and the screen freezes and doesnt type, 5 seconds later the keys i touched then do show up but it does that everytime for whatever i do, online, twitter, facebook, text, etc....very annoying

my battery life is crap now, not that it wasnt before but today, after 100% charged it took less than 5 hours for it to shut off at 0%

@mjkingofmusicmj if your still having lag or typing probs....go online and then go to your menu ,more, then settings....then clear out your cache and history. i was about to destroy my phone because of the lag then i did this....no worries!

@3liteNerds - Hey man, I need some help. I have had no problem with any steps (as i am a Linux user) But i seem to have a big issue with my Bluetooth. Every time i try and connect my pioneer head unit in my truck it connects for only a few seconds and then disconnects and says error. What really kills me is its not even picking up my Jawbone. so if you know anything about this bug it would be a big help. thanks.

hey whats up im really hoping i can get some help here with the update. So i downloaded the file and dragged it onto my sd card and powered off my phone, then rebooted it and when its comes to the choice where i can press volume down to do the boot it scans the sd card and says no image or wrong image but the little loading bar never starts up. It sumply gives me an option to press send to try again or press volume up for recovery.

So, the update worked everything was running fin and now I cannot for the life of me get the phone to connect to my Mac. it will sometimes pop up and allow me to mount but wont stay mounted. Is there any suggestions on a fix for this, is anyone else having this issue

@torro947 On the phone it will now ask you how you would like to sync it. So look at your phone and see what kind of sync you want. Charge only will not show it on your computer.

@newest12 So right now this update isn't root software. To root the Droid Eris it takes a little more steps. When you update with this it isn't a root, but I will be making a root video once it comes out for 2.1l to 2.1 root. Rooting is nice, but if you not a developer or know really how to use it then it really isn't that great. I understand if you want it and many people as well as me are working on it. I will make sure to make a video the day it comes out.

i had trouble updateing the first time i did it and never installed but was able to take the file off my sd card and went to 1.5 BUT THAT WAS WITHOUT COMPLETELY UPDATEING...i have yet to try to downgrade since I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED 2.1 so i wouldnt try what i have explained unless you have NOT completely update to 2.1 and are haveing trouble..but if you are having trouble try removing the file

Thanks, man! I had no trouble with this at all. Also, my phone quickly restarted where it should have started the update, found the correct zip file again, then updated. You stated on your video you may have screwed up but I guess that's just what it does. At least starting the phone with the end call+volume up combination, maybe. Kudos!

your doing something wrong... take ur sd card out of phone and put it in pc and take file off and put back in and let it load...BOOM ur back to 1.5.... now while phone is ON plug it in and transfer the file over AGAIN. now unplug phone while ON then power it down.....NEXT power on by HOLDING vol DOWN and pressing POWER... it will then load up and ull see the blue bar loading... one it goes through it will ask u if u want to update thats when u hit ur trackball..thn it will ask to reboot..YES

(this will take a couple minutes) and then follow the google prompts and ENJOY!!!

Yes. But you can restore back if you need to. You can still get a new phone if your phone brakes due to hardware. Software related problems are your problem now. But you can always go back.

you have to transfer file to your card while phone is plugged in thats what happend to me the first time i just took card out and put card in pc and tried to boot and it did exactly what ur saying so take card out put card in pc erase it and put in phone phone will go back to android 1.5 then you have to plug phone in and transfer file while it it pluged in and turned on (should still be 1.5 ) then transfer file straight to ur sd card then power down and watch video turn on Hldng dwn thn power
