He was great on the board, but not king out there. OK, he tried. He joined what many consider to be the hardest proof of many, in any person's military.
@HateBurns4ever Nope. Ron Wilson, the drummer and singer wrote this about his big brother. I used to have the original of this album, I don't know what happened to it. Probably worth a couple hundred dollars now.
heard this in my dads house, he mas over 5000 old records, he pulled surfer joe out one morning....loved him ever since. im 14 in year 2010 and shit man how cant anyone like this?
Decca Records couldn't/didn't/wouldn't get the Master Tapes of the "Original" Recording , so They had the Surfaris re-record "Surfer Joe" + "Wipe Out" for Their Decca Album , or so I am-told.
The LP version is speeded up a little. I have an original vinyl LP copy. But I've not got the 45 version. Both versions are nonetheless great, and are genuine, immortals gems from the era !!
some fart stole my ancient '45 version of this, along with Daydream Believer, and the Boomerang Song

This is by far the best version. I have the "Play" album, digitally remastered. It is an excellent record.

I love this version I'd never heard it till now. The Surfaris are so cool, their second album The Surfaris Play is my favourite.
