Is it wrong that I'm 30 years old, but still want this toy? I'm browsing eBay for one right now, but hardly any listings whatsoever. I've always been an Elmo fan all of my life, even as an adult. However, the "falling over" and him asking you to "help him back up" sounds like a pain. Needless to say, I can get passed that without much issues even if it is a problem at first. Very cute!
i have one question does the elmo live encore cross his leg, because i have one and for some reason he doesn't cross his leg, i'm just asking because mine is probably defective since he doesn't cross his leg
i saw mine do it once when i was testing him while he was telling a story about big bird. I haven't seen it since. Its not actually crossing it just kind of raises the leg while its sitting down. But since my daughter has been pulling on him and i have heard cracking, i figured he may need to see a chiropractor before he will be able to cross his leg again
@DragNIKla yea i get what you mean, it does the same on mine also. i guess it's just like that, it doesn't actually cross. i just got confused because most of the ad's for the encore states he crosses his legs.
@infamous6i9 I'm almost sure he doesn't do it, though the mechanics are still there. I guess that gives me a reason to keep the skin on the old Elmo Live!

It was not listed on the booklet of his phrases, and it wasn't one of the first things he said during the trial. the old version and this one are the same price now at amazon (49.97). this one does however have more recognizable songs, if that matters to you.
update, he does have the kissing feature, he didnt do it while i was testing him,but now that we have run through everything he does do it if you push his back like 5 times in a row.

So if you don't need it right away, that would be a good way to go. The elmo Live original version is $10 more for some reason.
